Party Night then Dressage Event

Oh my word isn't it hot today!

Ive just got back from the dressage event to say I'm hot is an understatement, i have 3 pairs of socks on ! i got my boots secondhand and had to get a bigger pair ..lol

The morning started out a bit nervously, we decided to go along to the party last night and celebrate our anniversary with everyone there, so my fella was rather worse for wear.. He got me an olive tree as a gift which i thought was rather amusing as i don't really like olives (he does) lol

I didn't drink as i knew what i had to do today, but managed to have a brilliant night, all my sisters were there which was a real giggle, especially as they were all looking rather happy...lol we went late afternoon so started the afternoon thrashing each other at badminton (i haven't played that for years) talk about a giggle, even my fella had a go, but as the night unfolded it was a really good night, we all managed not to fall into Julies pond, although there was a few near misses :) there were people there we hadn't seen in years so it was great to catch up, i wouldn't want to live on that street though, 3 houses all were throwing parties on the same night! one of my sisters was hungry so took it in turns to go eat all the food from the other 2 then come back..lol

Although a didgeridoo isn't the normal thing you find at a party Damien who had lots of fun with it decided to get it out.. lol hes a personal fitness trainer (who shaves his egg rolls for customers to look at while they work out...lol he was telling us all about it too) its true !! hes also a very gorgeous bloke so can get away with it..

I came home giggling my head off and that was just on tea ! but a big thank you goes to Julie this morning for really making it a brilliant party, her gardens like something out of china with little raised levels and hideways pretty lights, it was amazing to see..

My sister had taken down her fences so the guests could all use her garden too, so between us we made the most of the space...

There was one lady there that cracked everyone up all night, talk about drunk, every time she went near the pond we were all on standby, that's the lady in this picture, which says it all really..lol I bet shes got a hangover from hell today..she was so funny and chased Damien about for most of the night..

Anyway back to today..

I was really nervous about not learning what i was supposed to memorize..oops it was a bit nerve wracking as everyone was busy doing their own thing outside in the arenas practising so i just resigned to the fact i was going to put this one down as an experience, i kept looking at the sheet but couldn't get my head round the course, i was thinking about the other stuff on there and what they were looking for, if i messed up the course that's one thing, but at least i could work on the other bits.

We were sent in the arena in two's, after being able to practise outside first, me and the another girl who's been riding for years were next in , she told me she wasn't worried as she knew the course inside out, she was riding Dolly, so i whispered to pip to help me out .. he must have heard me bless..



Thankfully they allowed my teacher to call out the course, which really helped, I'm sure the judges could hear my tummy going over, but it all went well although they didnt warn me there would also be spectators! it was my first attempt at dressage but WONT be my last now (I'm already entered into the next level) so i will make sure i practise, get it memorized and not leave it until the week of the event before i join, its all good acting spontaneously sometimes but NOT for dressage events (that was a nuts thing to do) the amazing news is i got scored higher marks than the other more experienced rider i was in with (which she didn't look very pleased about), but i did mess up on one of the circles (it was more egg shaped !) we were told they were marking low today but anything up from a 5 upwards from these ladies was good.. I got all 5s and 6s except on my egg impression where i got a 3...lol
I'm really pleased i had a go, even though Ive been worrying about it, now Ive done it once ill drop the nerves next time and up the practise.

Lauren came to watch so all the photos are thanks to her bless, i would have given Pip a mint when we finished but as i asked Lauren to hold them for me, there wasn't any left .. she ate the lot ! so ill take a few extra tomorrow.... at my jumping lesson......

Its been a really good weekend, I'm knackered, my house looks like a bombs hit it and I'm now going to start on my mum duties..

Ive had a couple of hours out today to be Jo...now i need to get this lot on track and ready for the new week !

I dont need to look at that on paper, though, i have memorized that lot through experience....hehe

Blondes have more fun

Its been a hectic couple of days, the weekend was a blur we were both snowed under with work, so didn't do anything except that, but it has to be done, so you may as well just get on with it and try to keep smiling while you work.. we had invites for two different parties Saturday night and couldn't manage to make any of them sadly, these things happen i guess, my fella was working on something important and i last minute went to spend some time with my grandad, he had another operation last week and was feeling a bit sad so my sister phoned and asked me to go see him, Im glad i did, she was right..

I took the kids back Sunday and they cleared the biscuit tin in about ten mins flat which made grandad laugh, He's feeling much brighter today thankfully and recovering well, but he's been through so much this year and is looking forward to spending some quality time with nanny, and hopefully without all his hospital visits.

Fathers day was lovely we did spoil my fella all day, the kids all did little things for him without me having to remind them, which was thoughtful, we have such good kids, probably as hes such a good dad...

Yesterday was spent packing, followed by trying to sort out a new newsletter, Ive done so much work on the website blog this week and have missed writing in here, this is the place i get to write everything i want to, its like coming to visit a friend..


Last night i went riding as usual, i went down to the stables early and spent some time just walking about by myself, it was such a beautiful night for it, unlike last week when we rode through the storm..lol


I got to ride Pip for the lesson which was really good fun, for a small horse he doesn't half move quick ! as soon as you sit on him you can feel the excitement, he loves to run and is lovely to ride.
Im not sure how i managed to do it, but Ive got myself into competing in a dressage event on Sunday (which I'm rather nervous about) it seemed a good idea at the time when Wendy was talking about it, but it wasn't until she gave me the sheet that i realised what id got myself into, I have to memorize the course and what i need to do but hopefully get the horse to act beautifully for me, anyone who knows me will know I'm far from posh, so to sit on the horse trying to look elegant, suited and booted is going to make me giggle like hell..lol
I dont even own a tie ! I'm going to have to beg and borrow just about everything to do this, so i am dressed appropriately, black jacket, white shirt, black tie and black jodhpurs...Oh my word getting dressed up to get dirty eh...lol

I met up with my friend Anita after the class who has just got back from a holiday in Egypt. talk about looking healthy.. I had just filled the kettles up with the outside tap (well i cant work without a cuppa) but missing the lid completely with the tap, so stood there giggling away to myself looking like a drowned rat, i haven't been able to go see her horse while she was away, so caught up on saying hello to all the livery ones.. I do miss them, i used to look after those horses when i worked every Friday as a volunteer up there, so have to get back as soon as i can.. ive tried for the last 2 weeks but had to work so ill try again this week..

I managed to get some photos last night but i cant use the flash when it gets dark (it scares the horses) so apologies for the dark pictures, they are much more beautiful in real life though..

We started the horsecare and knowledge class at 8pm and Kevin led out a big black horse and handed me a huge electric clipper !! hehe cutting peoples hair im game for, but giving a horse a haircut is totally different.. it was a hell of an experience though, although you do have to keep your wits about you at all times, they are so unpredictable.
I thought we did quite a good job, but bare in mind it was really dark by the time we finished 11.45pm and i couldn't really see..lol
Im praying that horse still looks as good when the morning comes and she gets out in the sunlight, i bet they will be wetting theirselves up there today, when they see our version of clipping in the daylight.
We finished the night cutting, pulling, plaiting and grooming manes and tails so the horses got a good pampering session and plenty of sneaky mints when Kevin wasn't looking...

I managed to get some photos of Roger last night, the big white french horse who's so very ticklish and beautiful ! so you can see just how big his head is, its nearly as big as me put together, but i really love this horse and would love to ride him.. kevin said id look like a pea sitting on him.........:) so ill keep pestering of course til he lets me..whats wrong with a pea riding a horse !
If you tickle under his main he lowers his head right down and tilts it, his top lip comes out like Elvis and quivers like mad, i cant help but fall about laughing, ive never seen anything like him..

I'm riding Pip for the dressage event so very happy about that, hes small but lovely, if it was Billy or Jack id be panicking big time and have major league sore legs as much of it is all controlled by legs, without needing the reins, its scored on points and you need so many to pass (130 which ill get nowhere near of course) but whatever the outcome, at least i had a go.
Some of the girls have been practising for months and muggins here leaves everything til last minute again. I need to set up the garden with the same layout as the arena AKEHCJHF (i hope ive got that right, if not please help!) and run around looking like a loony pretending im a horse ! lol
My fellas threatening to video it and put it on YouTube... so ill wait til every ones asleep and get up extra early. nobody gets up early here except me and the birds so 5 am ill be giving the birds a comedy show for a change...lol


My fella wanted to come along and watch (that's a first!) but i didn't really want him to..

I'm pretty nervous and will probably mess it up even worse if i know I'm being watched, especially as he hasnt seen me ride since my first lesson at Kimblewick.. lol I like putting him through the hours of conversation after each lesson to tell him all about it anyway, why spoil that fun...hehe

I'm doing this competition for me, so want to go it alone ..

Im nervous but also very excited at the same time..


Anyway its time for a bath and a cuppa, we're working tonight so its another long one ahead and i thought it may wake me up a bit more.


No rest for the wicked eh ! whatever did i do in my past life? I hope it was good ! lol

Always Havana Giggle

OMG am i on such a high today.... Not only did we get that beautiful snow yesterday (yes i did play snowballs with the kids) we had another of those unforgettable nights out to top the day off...

It was Salsaaaaaaaaaaaa and my favourite day of the week, it seems to be coming round so quick now..

Week by week we are striking up amazing friendships with people and i can honestly say ive never felt so good..

I made an exception last night and took my daugher with us for once, she argues with her brothers so we wanted to show her how much we enjoy oursleves when we go dancing so she got to see mum and dad at their happiest, salsaing the night away with Sharon Richard and all our friends there.. its worked too as she told her brothers that she doesnt want to make us come home so wont argue as the place was totally out of this world ! bless she loved it..

The roads were pretty bad as the snow was falling heavy, but although its cold its also breathtakingly beautiful driving through the dark roads with huge white snow drops falling all around us, im such a big kid at heart..I find the strangest things wonderful..lol

The night just got better and better, the hardened salsa addicts were all there braving the weather so the night was brilliant, you wouldnt never have thought it was middle of the winter at the Staithe i was standing out in the snow trying to cool off.....hehe

Rueda was the best yet with me and steve trying to keep up with Sharon and Richards amazing moves, i end up laughing so much i forget what im supposed to be doing, but at one point in the rueda i was facing Richard trying to do rumba and keep a straight face as i couldnt remember which hand was doing what so kinda got it completely wrong, and was then moved straight into sharon doing reggaetton ! my crazy arms and legs were waving around like loonies so i must have looked like a turkey being strangled not sexy as its suposed to be... i just burst into fits of giggles as i couldnt remember what part i was supposed to be wiggling so just did the lot at once like a mad person throwing a fit...lol

Lauren took pictures throughout the night so im posting what was there that had heads on! lol

I went to sleep with one track stuck in my head all night and have spent half the day trying to find out what it is? can anyone help (please).. all i know is i had one hell of a dance to it with my fella as he loved it as much as me so we need to get that track! hehe the chorus goes 'dont you remember what you told me' and boy is that song now my favourite !! lol

As you all know its valentines tomorrow and usually ill drop subtle hints for chocolate i never get to eat (the kids all eat it and leave the wrappers there) so i never get a look in, so this year we are doing something different just for us..

Its totally mad as you would expect..lol ive bought my fella a gift this year that should just make the night special and one to remember.....

Hot Salsa Nights

Last night was belly dancing and salsa.. oh my word what a brilliant night We had it was such good fun...

The belly dancing showed me how stiff ive become over xmas as although i havent got much hip didnt i struggle to get them wiggling, i was as stiff as a board from riding the night before so couldnt get the coins to jingle on my belt..lol (im gonna cheat next week and make everyone giggle with my fellas xmas pressie he got me....you know what im talking about dont you Sharon and Stell.... im gonna wear them just to see if it works..lol

We had great fun in the class and instead of Lorraine taking it easy on us (as i hoped) she certainly made up for my weeks off and made the class a testing but good one, by the end of the lesson i was starting to already feel knackered and id still got a 2 hour salsa class to get through... serves me right for cramming so much in this week..lol

The salsa though i didnt have to worry about, thanks to the hip shaking warm up, i wasnt as bad as i thought id be, its been a while since weve done cross body style and although i was told im moving cuban style (hehe) i did really have a go and really enjoyed the class ..

I got to partner some great guys last night and had such a giggle in the process, deriks back to classes now full time so i made sure i kept grabbing him, hes such a nice bloke and brilliant fun we spend half the time trying to stop laughing as i sing to him as we go along (badly too).. my fella was kept entertained all night but looked more than happu as i couldnt get near him ... lol one lady was chatting him up and believes hes single, so i left him to it but had enormous fun watching him turn red.. hehe

We finished the night off in the bar (no vodka though) a group of us all got together to catch up and see what things we could plan for this year, between us we should be able to come up with some great nights out.. the last time we were all together was on the salsa boat and as that feels like such a long time ago now we have lots to catch up on....

Last night I slept like a baby, I felt so happy when I got home and didnt eat the fridge as i used to do. I was happy that we picked up where we left off with last years fun stuff, so will keep this feel good feeling and make sure im there every week now..

Tonight i have a cosy night in planned, im putting the kids to bed early grabbing my fella loads of candles and having a long soak in that bath (yes together) hes promised me i dont have to sit on the plug as usual so its a date.. We're cooking something nice and enjoying a night in..

As tomorrow it all starts again........... my favourite night of the week.. oh Yes! Stalham and Sharon and Richards cuban class.. I may be a little stiff at the moment but we're going to try sort that out tonight by dirty dancing round the lounge, so will be back to full force and ready to salsa by tomorrow.. I cant wait......

I actually think i have salsa withdrawl syptoms today as i just heard shakiras hips dont lie and felt my spirit soar, its like feeling the sun on your face from inside out...

It may be cold outside but these hot salsa nights bring warmth, fun and so much more than just dancing..

Who cares about the weather eh..... not me today..lol

Dressing up

Hi everyone! My god the weeks flew by again..

I missed my salsa this week which wasn't so good as i went down with a dreaded bad head again but I'm determined to get on top of this work so ill free myself up by Tuesday...

Its not been the quietest week, its the dreaded half term, where us mums have to juggle keeping the kids entertained as well as carry on working, and to be honest the workload hasn't been an easy one, every spare minute Ive had I'm either listing making slashed dresses or hoovering up ! lol

My grandparents are both very poorly at the moment so I'm going to help out next week and redecorate their lounge (grandad pulled off the paper and filled all the holes up) then got ill so its not making them feel so good..

I love decorating so my fellas having the kids for me so i can go and make it look nice, my fella keeps giggling saying I'm multi talented.. lol

I don't agree with him that way, its just I'll have a go at anything so its all been good experience's for me, the more i try the more ill get good at....... hopefully....lol

I am a qualified hairdresser, lifeguard, and tailor and that's about the only things i can do well and enjoy doing..... except when i had the hump with my friend once! I was so annoyed at him when he came round for his hair cut i cut it wonky in a girls style on purpose at the back so he couldn't see what id done, he went down to his local like it.........hehe
god he was angry he had to shave it all off... lol

This week it was Halloween so ive decided it was going to be a good one, every year I'm either not here or working and id promised the kids this year would be different so i kept my promise..

They all had their friends round, i made costumes for them and painted every ones faces, they looked brilliant !i did make the mistake of buying these stupid bags though that give out a spooky laugh every time you open them ! big mistake after an hour i squirted each one with water to shut them up and told the kids the batteries were worn out.........hehe what! they didn't know any difference and 8 of them round my kitchen wasn't good !

I got into the spirit this year too painted my face bright green (with a few cobwebs and spiders thrown in) and had the most amazing black and green wig (which my fella hated) i know now not to go darker, id be dumped in an instance...hehe

I was thoroughly enjoying turning out the hall lights and scaring the kids when they knocked for trick or treat ! they were all giggling and telling others to knock here ( i did buy lots of treats for them) but decided they were going to have to work for them..lol it kinda backfired on me though as when the door went again out i jumped with a hairy hand first and green face, only to see this poor little kid running out of my garden to her mum.........ooops i had to go after her an apologise her mum thought it was hilarious but i did feel bad, i wouldn't let my kids trick or treat unless they were in a group so was surprised she was on her own (i wouldnt have done that bless if i had known) so Ive told her mum next year to drop her at mine so she can go along with our lot, she only lives round the corner and i think i must have given the poor mite nightmares.. I felt so bad...

My fella is being so good to me this week, we've both got lots to do, but hes been cooking night times and buying me flowers! and although we've been a bit like ships in the night lately, once im up to date I'm taking him somewhere nice for the weekend so we can just enjoy some time together, without the work or kids..I'm locking his laptop away... but you cant get a good connection easy in a tent anyway !! lol ...

I know sometimes its not so easy to be modern day parents, but that's how the world seems to work now, if you've got 4 kids its expensive, my lot are really good and don't expect anything they see on the TV, but what i hope to bring them this year isn't something you can buy... sometimes by keeping it real you can create the best memories...

I hope in the next couple of days i can get on top of all this work so next week i can relax a bit more, i want my dancing back badly now,I know Ive only missed a week but the weeks not complete now without it..I really missed you lot.. and my 'hips dont lie track'

I'm on a mission to make this year a better one, I'm prepared to work my bum off to have a break of some kind, our friends have arrived safely in Thailand so although i couldnt go for that length of time a week or two would be wonderful..

I was even thinking of proposing to my fella just so i can get away for a week ! so someone would hopefully step in from my family and help out a bit here..lol
Ive got more chance of winning the lottery i think.......lol

Nah! I like living in sin best anyway...it keeps him on his twinkle toes..lol

I don't know how he puts up with me and my sick sense of humour sometimes....

But he does.......

Anyway im shocked at what happened in X Factor ! I cant believe the public put those guys in the bottom 2 !! I love the 5 girls and so wont vote this year as i believe they are all stars..

I was sad Austin went as he had such a good voice.. what is that other guy still doing in there? i cant even remember his name today...he can sing but he definately hasnt got the x factor, more like the 'S' vote...

I love Ruth as shes just so sexy and definately has the sex factor (sorry i meant X) the way she sang 'Purple Rain' gave me goosebumps ! I think shes so passionate, and i love the fact simons hooked too!! hehe

Alexander ' as shes so brilliantly tallented and a great performer as well as singer, shes totally amazing so one of my favourites

Diane - as shes totally unique in her voice and has such a brilliant sense for fashion( shes todays 60s boho chick) And i totally love her style.. I think todays girls will follow this girls dress sense.

Laura as she has such a powerful voice... my hairs stand up on my arms when she sings

And Rachael , although she comes across as cocky sometimes , im wondering its her way of hiding the real her.. im still not sure about her yet,but she has a very powerful great voice , i think they've made her look so hard though...

Anyway saturday nights now are booked (im not going anywhere ) as im hooked ! lol

It makes me giggle as when the programme finishes my lot all start to sing...... lauren believes shes the next celine dion..lol perhaps she is.. who knows what tomorrow may bring eh..

Some peoples dreams actually do come true...

I think thats what drives us all sometimes.........

What a night we had.......It was simply brilliant....

My house is still asleep, in preparation for the weekend ahead i think, lol

They have half an hour and the lot are being rudely awakened..lol

I want to get out there today...............

Last night we went to the Keir Hardie, it was Cuban night so you know its going to be a real good one, but it wasn't just the dancing last night, it was the people we were with...

We really are graced having so many good ones around us... you lot really are wonderful !

Sharon bless brought my top for me, id left it at Stalham Thursday night! (yes i do have a habit of leaving my clothes all over the place sometimes) hehe I was hot... it was that rueda that done it.. god what fun that was to do ..I bet you're still giggling Adrian...lol

We met up with Cheryl, Naomi Sharon, Richard, Jane, Adrian, Marco and so many lovely people, the night couldn't help but be a really good one, these guys all know how to party cuban style and it really made my night..

We also managed to add another friendly face in our car for our Thursday nights at Stalham, (yes Richard after watching you and Sharon dancing Naomis coming too ! ) .. hehe .. so we will happily fill the car up and bring as many as we can get there, as i know they will have a great night...lol

I want a sticker for the back of my car saying " follow us if you want to be cubanized".... hehe I wonder how may guys would follow a car ful of women all dressed up and ready to go....lol

I didn't have the best start, one guy asked me to dance so of course i said yes, but when i got onto the dance floor it was like a skating rink, i couldn't understand what was wrong with my shoes, but its a bit unnerving having someone spinning you around, knowing you are prone to sliding across the floor at any moment...lol So i decided id sit and watch instead.

Sharon told me to go and put some water on the bottoms of them and presto...it worked, i had to laugh, people must have wondered what i was doing outside, I had my shoes in my hands and were rubbing the bottoms along the concrete to try and brush them up a bit.. i didn't realise but with these dance shoes you are supposed to brush the bottoms... im glad i learnt that early enough that it didn't spoil the night, i would have been ok just watching, but when Sharon and Richard got us up doing rueda, i wouldn't have wanted to miss that for the world... it was brilliant..

Theres so many fantastic dancers there, yet i didn't feel silly having a go, they are such a good bunch of people and looked on smiling..

When i first went to this place, i used to sit there with Cheryl in owe, now were in the thick of a bunch a group that are totally welcoming and are great to be with.........

My fella got up enough confidence to ask our cross body teacher to dance .. everyone was looking, we all wanted to see if he'd do cross body or Cuban.... he did Cuban ! hehe well it was a Cuban night anyway, and he loves timber music ...lol thankfully so does she...

He was dancing so well last night, i have to get a video of him and Cheryl, they are amazing to watch, we've always been to the classes together so she knows the way he dances as well as i do.. But the next night im definitely taking my camera.. you guys were amazing..........

I just couldn't get it to work with my fella at the start of the night, so when he kept asking me to dance i sent him off with the other ladies.. but after a couple of vodkas and with the help of one brilliant track we had a real go........ I have to say, that's the best we've ever danced together, we were making moves up as we were going along and got lucky !! lol it was really lovely..he must have been pleased as he came home wearing that smile of his.....lol

The best part of the night so Ive been told was me.............lol

I LOST MY VOICE completely !! hehe i couldn't get anything out except a squeak....lol

My fella said that's why we danced so well together, cause i couldn't tell him off.............hehe

I had such a great night last night...

I went to sleep with a picture of you all in my head with your instruments.... its wonderful how you can throw in a group of people from all walks of life, yet between them they can make such beautiful music.. you don't need the venues! just throw a great group of friends together and listen............. Its a beat everyone can dance to. as its made together........

Sharon & Richard Cuban Salsa Lessons

It's a huge thank you to Richard and Sharon for all their hard work last night.. What a great class you guys gave us...

All the girls got to try out reggaeton (which I am totally hooked on at the moment) you can often find me outside body trembling with my headset on.. It's actually pulling in my waistline ! but such great fun !!

Last night the group was all lovely everyone was happy to be there and made the whole night great fun, I actually asked 2 guys to dance too..lol

I danced with the lord (who, by the way has already got it down to a T in just 2 lessons!) and I also asked Richard (sharons wonderful partner and our great teacher) I made a hash of that one totally so apologies for standing on your feet.. I was rather nervous (but wont tell anyone that) lol.

My partner likes to dance with Cheryl as she kind to him and I tell him off (oops) shes so good at it and makes it look easy, i love watching them but keep forgetting to take my camera ! so next time ill try and remember, id love to get these guys on video.. Youtube again for you cheryl.. pleaseeeeee lol

Its much better dancing with others anyway as from a couple point of view you tell each other off too much ! so there I am saying no turns, please don't do that etc..Poor bloke no wonder he doesn't like to dance with me, I wouldn't want to either...Lol it's a nervous thing I think... I can tell him when I'm nervous so will get him to make it easier... It's a cop out I know.. and not as exciting as dancing with someone you just have to follow and have a go...lol

I loved the night, we waited til everyone had gone home and Richard put Orisha on.. I recognised the track from body styling so me Cheryl and Sharon all got up, I tried to show my fella when I did the class and couldn't remember the steps, but as soon as that music came on back it all came.. This salsa really is brilliant fun..

Next week they are getting the guys to have a giggle they are doing Rumba with us, the story is the guy usually holds a handkerchief and is out to fertilize the woman...Lol (yes honestly)

She is offering and tormenting him with wiggles and offers of her skirt (aiming at him and looking open to ideas) but hes got to work for it and catch her out.. so hes dancing around the women and can catch her with either a foot a hand eyes anything basically that hits the spot! The woman (being a woman) isn't going to let him catch easily so she plays and seduces him with her offers of the held up skirt and then covers herself every time, he tries.........hehe

Its great fun, great for parties and guaranteed to have everyone laughing their heads off whos dancing.. We did it at Sharons party and were crying with laughter......

We need more guys in this class ... so please guys drop the idea dancing isn't sexy (ask any women if they would like a partner who dances), and you will learn one thing about women..

It's the guys that dance that get the girls......... so leave your masquline heads at home bring your mates and come along.. Attitudes more than welcome (you can use that to tease) jeans trainers whatever you are comfortable in, just come along to Stalham and help us girls out...

It was another great night, with great people, salsa really is brilliant fun to learn..

Strike a pose

Its Saturday... the weekends arrived in style and after a week sorting out the house and garden we decided it was time to have some fun..

We went riding again this morning to me pulling into kimblewicks car park with an awful noise coming from my car, so i called the AA and hoped i could slot the lesson in before they got there.. im so glad i didnt have to miss it, what a lesson, its just getting better and better, we were doing 5 jumps in a row this morning as i was in my element, Lauren did brilliantly .. the timing was perfect as we just turned in the AA had pulled in so i got to make the lesson the wheel was fixed (stones in the brake disc) and it didnt mess up the morning thankfully...

We went out last night to Madonna tribute night, talk about a wild night..lol

When we walked in the place looked beautiful all lit up with glowing bowls of floating candles, it really was something else to see..i got a free pink cowboy hat too! which has happily joined my collection for holiday...

I was the dedicated driver so wasnt drinking, but after watching our friend hit the stage on his own i really did want a drink and to join in.......he is hillarious and doesnt care what anyone thinks it shocks the life out of some people, which is highly amusing to watch.. he certainly made the Madonna act giggle, we were told by his girlfriend not to let him have my cowboy hat as he has a habit of stripping .... i bet thats amusing to watch ..lol

He was born in Norwich but has lived in Cyrus all his life until this year, so hes not stuck to our british over civilised attitude and stiff upper boring lip...his partner was as much a giggle as him sot is twice the fun....

Debby Rowe who was our Madonna for the night was cracking up and trying to keep a straight face singing, especially when Mark gets up during her act and starts dancing to vogue with all the movements (seeing really was believing)he is really good, and does things that make the jaws drop which is always good in my books..but nobody complained, they just wished they could do it and it seemed to end up contagious , by the end of the night people who wouldnt normally get up and dance were all trying to have a go, so it made for a brilliant night all round..it was great to see my fella having so much fun, although i had a job getting him to come home..he told my dad when we did eventually roll in he'd only had 2 wines... what he didnt say was it 2 bottles..oops he has a hangover from hell today (serves him right i say) lol

Ive been out with some fun people in my time and had some wonderful unforgetable nights, and last night will deinately be joining those nights, i honestly thought it wasnt going to be any good...it was the first night out we had with our new friends, but i hope it wont be the last......they were such a giggle and great fun to be around....

As for our Madonna for the night (Debby rowe)... she was brilliant and had us all up singing & dancing the night away .. I danced to every song the dj played and this morning feel like i havent been to bed..

So its a huge thank you to new friendships.. and for making everyones night, one for the armchair, it definately was a friday night to remember.. although my fella cant remember much of the later half and has now gone to salsa lessons looking like he needs to go back to bed.....lol

I went out expecting nothing and came home laughing my head off... it was a totally brilliant night and has given me many smiles this morning... I cant wait for the Grease night now, its fancy dress so time to make those Olivier Newton John trousers, ive always wanted a pair but now have the perfect night to wear them......

Im now gonna make myself a nice cuppa sit down and come back down to earth...

Dayles up tonight so we have a family night planned, knowing my family it wont be a quiet one, so tomorrow im planning a day of doing absolutely nothing, ,maybe a walk up a beach and a lovely early night... i never thought id say this........ but i really need one.........lol

Dancing the night away

Were just back from a totally brilliant night out dancing, yes it was salsa and belly dancing time, my god this is just getting better...........

Me and my friend had a few drinks in the bar before we started so it was a really relaxed start, everyone was chatting its like we've never been away but better.......

The belly dancing was great as i was still really stiff from the fitness test Sunday (i scored really well and was pleased with what i could do) just very sore the next day...lol

Anyway the fellas joined us for the class and even more people than last week turned up, so it was great, I've made new friends learnt more steps and got to finish the night with my fella freestyle, its the first time we've danced together and it flowed......... his hips seemed to take on a mind of their own which in this dance is great all round......

My fella loves it (im so glad) is really good and looks forward to it as much as me now, yes he did get to dance a few times with the sexy latino girl lol ....... she is stunning, doesnt need make up , has curves to die for and is really nice too...some girls really are so lucky.......lol

I've come home with a mind full of moves i want try later ,but as hes my live in partner i can also add on a few extras to steam things up, like that little lace up dress thats hanging up looking at me....lol

Feeling sexy definitely reared its head in every ones moves there tonight.... i was totally lost in the music and great atmosphere... i dont want to go to sleep tonight.......

We've made friends with the instructors and have been invited to a party Friday they are going to, its all salsa & meringue with a group of fun loving people who all like what we do, dancing music a good laugh and oh yes ......... alcohol.... hehe

I havent been to a good party for ages so its time to let my hair down and put into practise all this dirty dancing we are learning.......

So roll on the weekend im going horse riding on a hangover !! and sore feet.......lol

Head Over Heels

The days flown by today, i struggled to get out of bed this morning, but it was riding so i couldn't miss it...

It was a really eventful lesson, we did our normal class and were then getting into the car when Sarah asked if i wanted to have another go in the next lesson as there was only one girl and shes on the showjumping class, so back i went, Sorrel got double the amount of Polo's today too..lol

But that wasn't the best bit, we started off doing the normal jumps until they started doubling them up..

You have to stay in jumping position all the way through as the horse knows theres only one stride til he jumps again, so i was doing really well, until that 2nd jump !! lol

I did the first jump fine but when he went to take the next i brought my heels back a bit (thats a no no) (keep those legs forward and heels down ) so as he landed on the second jump out of the stirrups my feet came and off the seat i slid.. it happens so quick and at this stage im in canter as the jumps are quite high he cannot take them in trot, so canterings a must, i got to the corner and knew i was coming off and then it kicked in my version of a carry on film....... everyone up the stables was up on their feet shouting for the horse to stop, but he didn't...

Have you ever seen a mad woman ride in canter bareback around a horses neck ? hehe

I did...

My bum was off the saddle id moved forward in front of the saddle onto the horses neck, so i did what came naturally ......... clung on for dear life...lol

The strange thing is i knew then i wouldn't fall, so 3 times round the ring i went legs dangling round poor Sorrels head like a moustache as hes cantering round, with the girls now in hysterics, and Nikita wanting to get a camera................(that's so mean) but it was great fun..........

Sarah said shes never seen anything so funny in her life, im not coming off that horse in a hurry and proved that today... they said anyone else would have fell and cant work out how the hell i hung on, i must have really good balance... lol .. more like really good grip !

Believe me i was cuddling that horses head to well like he was Brad Pitt.... and it worked...

So today Ive learned bareback neck riding too.. i can stay on that horse if i hold on tight enough, and given the girls there something to giggle about for the rest of the week...

The funny thing was i wasnt at all scared, i probably should have been, but i couldnt help laugh when i could see the girls all cracking up trying to stop the horse, while im hanging there like a clingon with my polos in tow....lol

Roll on next Saturday......... this is now starting to get really exciting.......

Don't you just love bank holidays..lol

I woke up thinking it was Monday and id got to go to work so I'm up at 5 and hoovering..oops

My fella came flying down the stairs not so happy and asked me politely to turn the bloody thing off and come back to bed, lol i couldn't i was wide awake by then... so Ive been for a run, yes me, honestly the woman who doesn't..lol i never liked that part in boxing, and stuck to the speed skipping as that burns faster than running, but as its such a beautiful morning, i thought id give it a try...

Ive really got back into doing my exercises and even watched the X factor sitting at the top of my pole Saturday ..lol

Yesterday tuned out to be a really nice day, i did what i liked all day, a bit of sewing, lazing about in the garden and went and bought myself a spa thing to go in the bath, lol its not quite like my friends jacuzzi but that little nozzle thing is wonderful if you aim it properly and i really did get quite excited in that bath....lol so i finished the night off with just 2 kids (the rest slept out) and total peace and quiet, and made a necklace .. so it was a good day for me..

Today i have to do photos all day, Ive been putting them off for weeks, and need the space for Paris so i have a mountain of one offs to photo and list, Ive got 3 days to get the lot done and dusted as Wednesday we leave , I'm looking forward to it, as i can go in search for some Celine Dion concert tickets then, i want to take my friends to see, its in the heart of Paris and would made a great weekend away....

I'm also driving through Paris this time so i get used to driving there.... my fella wants to move to France in a few years, when the kids are older ......lol

So i would need to be able to drive there, to go and visit him......hehe

Friends Reunited

Had a brilliant day today we caught up with an a couple we used to be good friends with who moved away and now thankfully are back....

He asked us to go surfing with him before but never got the chance, so its now on for the weekend .... i cant wait........lol

The beach they use is the one next to my photo beach, so i even know the way there, what fun this will be, i know im gonna love it and have a real giggle....

We were talking about soceity and what it does to people and things we discussed before, they are now doing so it made me think, apparently being self suffiencient is everything its cracked up to be and they are living proof...

My fella really gets on with him so well, hes a total free spirit and always so carefree so its lovely to have them back ...

The great thing is my eldest son is his boys best friend so we can take the kids with us and let them lose to just play...now that really does add the icing to the cake..
