Good Morning

Its Friday already ! Im waiting to get that Friday feeling, but its not here yet! perhaps its on its way, ive got packing to get done as yet, my eldest has promised to take it to the post office for me (he wouldnt yesterday so i stomped up there by myself to make him feel guilty) but as usual nothing is stiring up there.. i made the mistake of letting him have his mates sleep.. so as usual nobody did...hehe

My poor fella sat up all night working as he needed something finished for this mornings meeting, i felt him creep into bed at 5am, how tired must he feel today, i felt guilty going to bed so stayed up til 1.30am but couldnt keep my eyes open, i honestly dont know how he does it, his partner is just as nocturnal as him, these guys work hours most of us wouldnt believe (or could manage)so my hats off to what they have achieved this week, WELL DONE (please dont worry about the car!) I will manage without one, it does me good to walk .. :)

Speaking of walking places, im rather dissapointed this week, someone only went and pinched my eldest sons bike! why do people steal things, he does 3 paper rounds and was really upset! Ive always taught my kids to respect other peoples property, so i hope whoevers pinched it gets something of his stolen so he knows how it feels...

Tonight we get some time out, at last..
we are both really looking forward to this party, ive phoned Richard and told him to keep our tickets safe, it seems like ages since we have been out together and is much needed, i love dancing with my fella and cant wait to get him on that dance floor !
Im taking my camera as Leandro is going to be there, ive seen him dance before at the Talk and couldnt believe what this guy does, his style is so unique, so if what ive heard is true and he is taking a regaetton class tonight, please count me in..... i dont want to miss that.. not sure if i can remember how to wiggle, but ill have a good go with the help of a vodka !

Surprises

Its been a great couple of days, I'm getting everything i wanted to do done, what a brilliant feeling that is, yesterday i went back to the stables and got to ride as near to my dream as possible without the sand or sea, to have that place by myself was amazing, I cantered round and around for so long and haven't felt that free for years, they told me to close my eyes and picture that beach and boy didn't i.. I came away from there so happy inside it was untrue, i was on high all night!

My fella has been working his arse off as i knew he would but had told me he wasn't coming home until Saturday night! although i was a bit sad at that as we had one hell of a party to attend Saturday that none of us wanted to miss, so today i get a call (this afternoon) telling me hes on his way home ! talk about happy !!

Ive missed him like crazy of course but really pleased with what Ive achieved here, at the start of the week i was feeling a little lost, but as the days have gone on, Ive felt so much stronger and adapted really well, sleep was coming easily by Wednesday, probably as Ive been decorating, gardening and doing all sorts of wonderful stuff, until i couldn't do anymore and fell in a heap at bedtime.. the kids have ALL been helping to paint and backed me up here which is brilliant..

So tonight although hes come home to a nearly finished kitchen, we are ignoring the mess, I'll finish the main part tomorrow anyway, but it looks amazing and is well worth the work and a little upheaval.. I'd forgotten how much i love doing stuff like this... I'm covered in paint but couldn't feel happier tonight if id won that lottery.. Steves so pleased and loves it !

Anyway as promised here's the back garden that Ive been working on, its my tranquil place where i wake up regardless of the weather with my cuppa and the radio..

So count us in for Saturdays party you guys ! we will be there now !!!

Spining around

Oh my word are my feet killing me this morning, its not just me my fellas exactly the same! My eyes are swelled up and ive had hardly any sleep again! thats what you get for wiggling at my fella, he says its all my fault...

Last night was such a good night, Stalhams definately the place to be on Thursdays. Its Cuban Salsa time!

Sharon and Richard had us all wiggling and up on our feet, the music was simply brilliant.. Sharons regaetton is so much fun even the guys get up now and join in, how great is that!

You knew it was going to be a good night when you saw Sharon in that dress...wow, talk about sexy! Richard will soon have to start carrying a fire extinguisher! Ill show you the photos later, i plan on writing a few blogs this weekend.. i probably wont have the energy for much else!

We did everything from Regaetton & Bacharta to our Cuban salsa (and Steve's timba) its always a party atmosphere and my favourite night of the week! I danced with my fella to a Regaetton track and nearly forgot where i was ! lol .. it really is such a great night, we need more guys up there to learn salsa, so what are you waiting for? whoever thinks its not masculine needs to come watch this ! take it from me (im female and know this stuff) its the guys that can dance and try that get the ladies attention, and such good fun while keeping us on our toes.. where else can you take the lead and not get moaned at! lol ....we love it!

This weekend is going to be a Red Bull one ! im already aching from last night and we still have two party nights to go! oh my word is this gonna be a weekend to remember...

Tonight its our friends party and one we are all looking forward to, I already know its gonna be a night to remember, it always is as nobody cares what they look like everyones there to enjoy themselves and simply party, my fellas said hes up for lessons on the pole too, so ill take my camera and catch him in the act! im so looking forward to this...hehe The only problem im having is what do i wear? i tend to stick to jeans usually but i cant poledance in them! so if anyone has any ideas please help! (clean 0nes only please!) failing that ill wear my outfit and shove my shorts on underneath...lol ill look like ive got some hips then too !

Tomorrow if we are still able to walk we are being picked up by our salsa friends and hitting the 'Talk' for the 'Lord mayor's procession after party'! there will be live music from la Cuban ritmo, who weve already seen before (they are totally amazing!) so its gonna be a very lively and exciting weekend....... with a weekend long hangover..hehe We wanted to be part of the prcocession but my fella couldnt get the time off saturdays to attend the practise sessions :( so im sending all my best for you guys tomorrow and will catch up with you all at the after party! God i wish i could have been part of that... the last time i danced down a street with sharon and the girls was such a giggle... theres another street fair coming up at Ingham very soon, where we will get to repeat that one....

Party Night then Dressage Event

Oh my word isn't it hot today!

Ive just got back from the dressage event to say I'm hot is an understatement, i have 3 pairs of socks on ! i got my boots secondhand and had to get a bigger pair ..lol

The morning started out a bit nervously, we decided to go along to the party last night and celebrate our anniversary with everyone there, so my fella was rather worse for wear.. He got me an olive tree as a gift which i thought was rather amusing as i don't really like olives (he does) lol

I didn't drink as i knew what i had to do today, but managed to have a brilliant night, all my sisters were there which was a real giggle, especially as they were all looking rather happy...lol we went late afternoon so started the afternoon thrashing each other at badminton (i haven't played that for years) talk about a giggle, even my fella had a go, but as the night unfolded it was a really good night, we all managed not to fall into Julies pond, although there was a few near misses :) there were people there we hadn't seen in years so it was great to catch up, i wouldn't want to live on that street though, 3 houses all were throwing parties on the same night! one of my sisters was hungry so took it in turns to go eat all the food from the other 2 then come back..lol

Although a didgeridoo isn't the normal thing you find at a party Damien who had lots of fun with it decided to get it out.. lol hes a personal fitness trainer (who shaves his egg rolls for customers to look at while they work out...lol he was telling us all about it too) its true !! hes also a very gorgeous bloke so can get away with it..

I came home giggling my head off and that was just on tea ! but a big thank you goes to Julie this morning for really making it a brilliant party, her gardens like something out of china with little raised levels and hideways pretty lights, it was amazing to see..

My sister had taken down her fences so the guests could all use her garden too, so between us we made the most of the space...

There was one lady there that cracked everyone up all night, talk about drunk, every time she went near the pond we were all on standby, that's the lady in this picture, which says it all really..lol I bet shes got a hangover from hell today..she was so funny and chased Damien about for most of the night..

Anyway back to today..

I was really nervous about not learning what i was supposed to memorize..oops it was a bit nerve wracking as everyone was busy doing their own thing outside in the arenas practising so i just resigned to the fact i was going to put this one down as an experience, i kept looking at the sheet but couldn't get my head round the course, i was thinking about the other stuff on there and what they were looking for, if i messed up the course that's one thing, but at least i could work on the other bits.

We were sent in the arena in two's, after being able to practise outside first, me and the another girl who's been riding for years were next in , she told me she wasn't worried as she knew the course inside out, she was riding Dolly, so i whispered to pip to help me out .. he must have heard me bless..



Thankfully they allowed my teacher to call out the course, which really helped, I'm sure the judges could hear my tummy going over, but it all went well although they didnt warn me there would also be spectators! it was my first attempt at dressage but WONT be my last now (I'm already entered into the next level) so i will make sure i practise, get it memorized and not leave it until the week of the event before i join, its all good acting spontaneously sometimes but NOT for dressage events (that was a nuts thing to do) the amazing news is i got scored higher marks than the other more experienced rider i was in with (which she didn't look very pleased about), but i did mess up on one of the circles (it was more egg shaped !) we were told they were marking low today but anything up from a 5 upwards from these ladies was good.. I got all 5s and 6s except on my egg impression where i got a 3...lol
I'm really pleased i had a go, even though Ive been worrying about it, now Ive done it once ill drop the nerves next time and up the practise.

Lauren came to watch so all the photos are thanks to her bless, i would have given Pip a mint when we finished but as i asked Lauren to hold them for me, there wasn't any left .. she ate the lot ! so ill take a few extra tomorrow.... at my jumping lesson......

Its been a really good weekend, I'm knackered, my house looks like a bombs hit it and I'm now going to start on my mum duties..

Ive had a couple of hours out today to be Jo...now i need to get this lot on track and ready for the new week !

I dont need to look at that on paper, though, i have memorized that lot through experience....hehe

Midsummers party

I'm still smiling this morning, i bet you are still giggling aren't you Cheryl? hehehe

My god what a night that was.........

We spent mid summers at a salsa party...with our Tuesday group...

We did three classes first , salsa, bachata more salsa, i didn't get much sleep the night before as we were out with our friends so i thought i was rather going to struggle...lol

The day went by in a blur with my fella asleep at every opportunity, and me trying to clean up the house (it looked like a bomb had gone off) but we got through the day ok, anyway i can sleep loads later when I'm pushing up daisies...lol

Its been a brilliant weekend, it really has...

Last night i was thrown over a guys head (who's about 6 " 5") honestly !! lol

What a blast !! it was brilliant...

His name is Ivan Hospodar(all you dance guys and instructors will know this guy) i wont forget his name in a hurry either, my god how good is he ?????????

We were dancing away and he came over to me and asked me to dance, he'd already taken the bachata class so i thought it wouldn't be too hard !! OMG am i a blond or what...

He was asking questions and asked if id done ballroom dancing before..nope , he was complimenting me on my arms of all things (that's down to you Sharon) and your hard work, i couldn't move my arms until i went to her classes, shes helped me so much ....

Anyway i have never seen or felt anything like this guy before, i was twisted turned thrown and pushed as hard as i have ever been in my entire life, i was sweating lost my earrings, my hair clips and a necklace but it was worth every bit..

Cheryl sat there in hysterics..............

I was taught things that Ive already been up practising this morning! and i have to say to date..

I cant believe i really did that !!!!!!! my fella didn't stop talking when he got home and said he didn't know how the hell i kept up with it (id had no vodka either) just lime and soda and a good pair of salsa shoes...lol

Im not sure what i got wrong or right, i don't care what i looked like, its how i felt that i liked best ! it felt incredible...........

We went into turns and things I'm years away from learning, but somehow i managed to get through ok, my smile was that huge, my lips had stuck to my teeth !!

I was spun and spun and dipped and twisted and half way through he decided that he would pick me up and spin me over his head ! it was the best dance i have ever had ...

Four times he came over and asked me to dance, by the end of the night i looked like id been in a shower..lol Adrian said Ivan had been hogging me all night (which made me giggle), so i even got a dance with him...

It was a brilliant night, i don't know where that energy came from, im still pretty shocked this morning, but its done one thing and really helped my confidence..

Its like Cheryl said " after dancing like that, you couldn't possibly ever feel nervous again" mmm shes right..lol

This guy is world class at ballroom, salsa tango and as many dances as i could write, i will probably never dance like that again, but mid summers for me will definitely not be forgotten..

I had an absolute ball................................

Garden Party

Its Sunday!...yesss my day of rest !! lol

Its been another brilliant week, im shattered but really excited..

We went to a party last night as our friends son is emigrating to America, i cant believe how much effort this guy put into it last night, he never stopped...

The food was out of this world and just kept coming, he had done so much no one could honestly eat any more, it wasn't the normal sandwich stuff either! we had food last night that any restaurant would be proud of... Lauren didn't stop eating and must have had at least 8 plate fulls..lol The funniest part of the day was catching her with her head in a chocolate fountain, she couldnt see we were looking and was literaly in the foundtain with a smile as big as the sun..

There were a huge adult bouncy castle (well we had to try that one out) that babysat the kids lovely for us, but the whole afternoon and night was totally brilliant..

Its the 2nd time we've been to his mums house (that's where the party was held) but every time i meet this lady i want to give her a hug, shes so full of life and always smiling, so watching her salsaing round the garden last night with my fella was brilliant.. Id love a mum like her... shes brilliant and so much fun...

Mark went to so much effort to make everyone enjoy their day, it was unbelieveable.... I hope you re not too hungover (but bet you are..lol) we had a brilliant day...

My eldest son couldn't come to the party with us because he was invited to go out and fly a glider for the day !!! omg he was so excited and had such a brilliant day, im so proud of how hes turning out....

Its been a wonderful week and an even better weekend .. thanks to so many wonderful friends... and a very unique tree...............lol

Dancing in the Street

Omg Have I got a headache this morning ooops.....

Last night will be definitely be one for the armchair..what on earth did you put in that punch Richard? lol

We had such a fantastic night.. the photo was the start of the party, you really don't want to see the end of the night... But ive been told we will be in the website soon and on youtube as someone videoed the whole thing !

It started in the high street in Stalham, we went along to support Sharon and Richard as they were doing a taster session, showing the locals there that salsas coming to stalham next week...

We had only just got a drink (my 1st vodka) i hadnt even had a sip and on came our Rompe song (id know that intro anywhere)Rompe, Rompe, Rompe... after Thursday night (we had so much fun) Sharon standing there on the street beckoning me and Cheryl to join in........lol

I haven't had that much fun in years, we were lined up all shaking our booty and having a right giggle.. im not sure if it will put the locals off (we did only get to learn that the night before) but if they have a sense of fun then they really should come along to the new class.

The street dance was cut short as there was a heavy metal band playing ( i couldnt understand a word the guy was singing) i thought he was singing bow wow?tried to salsa to it (but failed dismally) so the group all got everything together and hit Sharon's for the party......

They had made such a huge effort,the punch was unbelievably Moorish (and very potent) the dancing was the best ive seen, and because i was rather tipsy i actually danced without worrying that i couldn't do the steps... it was probably the best ive danced too! so that proves it, i worry too much that i cant do stuff and should just enjoy trying to do more...

Ive drank my first mojito (they were wonderful so enjoyed a few) and really had such a brilliant time all thanks to them.....

We've met some wonderful people through dancing, I look so forward to my nights with them and cant wait for the next night out..

These guys are the nicest people you could ever meet, they must have feel shattered this morning too, how on earth they managed to arrange a party, provide us all with such a wonderful night and still do a street fair i don't know........ i take my hat off to these guys..

We danced rumba with Richard, lots more reggaeton and salsa'ed the night away (cuban style)til the early hours...

I spoke to our friends last night too, or rather i was singing down the phone while dancing Rompe round Sharon's garden, (Cant wait to see you guys, ill give you a ring later today x) sorry about my singing....oops

I do have rather a hangover (ill admit) so im now going to grab myself a bath, cook one of that terrible fried things that resembles breakfast and try to move without my head still thinking its behind me....

We had a brilliant night, loved the company and had such a great night..

Dancing the night away

Were just back from a totally brilliant night out dancing, yes it was salsa and belly dancing time, my god this is just getting better...........

Me and my friend had a few drinks in the bar before we started so it was a really relaxed start, everyone was chatting its like we've never been away but better.......

The belly dancing was great as i was still really stiff from the fitness test Sunday (i scored really well and was pleased with what i could do) just very sore the next day...lol

Anyway the fellas joined us for the class and even more people than last week turned up, so it was great, I've made new friends learnt more steps and got to finish the night with my fella freestyle, its the first time we've danced together and it flowed......... his hips seemed to take on a mind of their own which in this dance is great all round......

My fella loves it (im so glad) is really good and looks forward to it as much as me now, yes he did get to dance a few times with the sexy latino girl lol ....... she is stunning, doesnt need make up , has curves to die for and is really nice too...some girls really are so lucky.......lol

I've come home with a mind full of moves i want try later ,but as hes my live in partner i can also add on a few extras to steam things up, like that little lace up dress thats hanging up looking at me....lol

Feeling sexy definitely reared its head in every ones moves there tonight.... i was totally lost in the music and great atmosphere... i dont want to go to sleep tonight.......

We've made friends with the instructors and have been invited to a party Friday they are going to, its all salsa & meringue with a group of fun loving people who all like what we do, dancing music a good laugh and oh yes ......... alcohol.... hehe

I havent been to a good party for ages so its time to let my hair down and put into practise all this dirty dancing we are learning.......

So roll on the weekend im going horse riding on a hangover !! and sore feet.......lol

Tuesday

Ive been having to play dodgeball today at work... lol

Im trying to do some posters for my partners party while he keeps asking me to do things so ive been slamming down the laptop lid fast ..lol

Ive come to the conclusion hes gonna have to go out ! lol so tomorrow hes being dragged off so i can try and get up to mischief in peace...

I dont want to embarras him just make him giggle so if anyone has any ideas please email forward....

Im starting to look forward to it today, my friend emailed and hopefully her sister and partner will be adding to the list, so im really pleased, and hope they will all enjoy themselves and may even get to know us... id welcome the chance.........

My sister is doing the food for me which is really such a help, she likes cooking and offered to swap a day at the office for one in the kitchen, so ive taken up her kind offer...
And thank you for everyones offer of help, its much appreciated, but this party is for all of you to enjoy yourselves, so it wouldnt be fair to make you contribute, im sure what evers not there we can get past with giggles and a good spirit... your contributions will be by being there...

Friends Reunited

Had a brilliant day today we caught up with an a couple we used to be good friends with who moved away and now thankfully are back....

He asked us to go surfing with him before but never got the chance, so its now on for the weekend .... i cant wait........lol

The beach they use is the one next to my photo beach, so i even know the way there, what fun this will be, i know im gonna love it and have a real giggle....

We were talking about soceity and what it does to people and things we discussed before, they are now doing so it made me think, apparently being self suffiencient is everything its cracked up to be and they are living proof...

My fella really gets on with him so well, hes a total free spirit and always so carefree so its lovely to have them back ...

The great thing is my eldest son is his boys best friend so we can take the kids with us and let them lose to just play...now that really does add the icing to the cake..
