Welcome 2011

After a much needed break I find myself here for another year, fresh hope and starting a new year.. Lets hope 2o11 brings some good stuff.

I lost a very dear friend on Christmas day, so that hit home pretty hard, so Christmas here has been a bit of a blur non entity, I felt sorry for my kids bless they had such a miserable time.

I'm looking forward to kicking up my riding and restarting salsa, its been 6 months with no dancing thanks to my fella taking a job which took him away from home for months on end.. To top that were still waiting to be paid for it! Christmas came early for this guy..

Ive really missed my salsa and hope the new year brings some sunshine now..

It was a year of operations, illnesses, work work work while juggling a house full of teenage hormones triplets who don't like each other very much and the hope that they would for once clean their bedrooms... Welcome back to life in the madhouse!

Its been too long since Ive been the brown eyed girl.. I feel more like the black eyed one looking at the bags under them this week...

I'm hoping i can change that now and enjoy a new year..

Hello Again

Its been a while since Ive been able to find myself and start to write again, you know when you have so much flying round up there, that you cant quite manage to put everything in order? well that sums my head up to a T...

I'm feeling much brighter now thankfully, have been a good girl and am taking the pills, which seem to be keeping the blackouts at bay, so I'm thankful for that, at least i don't rattle for nothing ! :)

Ryan seems to be settling back into school life nicely again, we are managing to keep up with the home tutoring and he seems to be much better in himself, it went on from all that crap straight into my fella working all hours and the new stock run, so its been pictures, editing, working and falling in a heap..

I have managed to get to riding which i have to say is the one thing that's kept part of me sane, i took Lauren this week so the pictures and videos are thanks to her. If you notice Phil is leading me out, do you know why? Jack is so thoughtful and likes to make a quick dash exit usually leaving his riders in the large pile of horse manure as a thank you....hehe Told you i get all the badly behaved horses didn't i ! its s good job i like bad boys.............

Christmas is fast approaching and boy am i panicking !

I'm starting to feel better in myself but needed some time out to get myself together, wash my hair and start again, if that makes sense, i feel more like my old self now and cant wait to get back to everything.

The new stock is in theres still as some to go in but somehow we managed to lose the photos, so as my fellas away again tomorrow until Friday, I'm hoping we can finish up so i can get back into my work with enthusiasm again by the weekend..

I had so much to say but it was all so negative and i didn't want to depress you all when reading it, somehow it all manages to sort itself out and calm down doesn't it...

Here's to hopefully no more weeks like the last few......

Anyway the good part of my week so far has been my horses.. This week Kevin's away on the start of his 3 week holiday so we got Phil to take the lessons, hes been brilliant and managed to pull out of the bag one of the best lessons Ive ever had.. talk about sore legs today !

Anyway i hope you like the pictures, I'm riding Jack again (who i am loving to bits) we did the lesson without stirrups and i learnt to rise and trot and canter without them, it was really good..

Although I'm paying for it at the moment and taking plenty of hot baths.......hehe

Will be back to normal now and come to see you guys every day..xxx

My Kind of Wonderful

Its been such a good week, we went to our friends last weekend with the kids as they were throwing a party, what a night! it was totally brilliant, we were all dancing the night away while drinking sangria that stuff is so wonderful, the food was amazing (and enough for an army) which was brilliant as my lot at any party feels like one !... lol

Ive been spending many hours outside tendering my new found hobby (growing just about everything edible) and still love getting up early sitting in my garden watching the early birds, theres so many doves out here now everyone seems to be coming to mine for food.. you would think with the kids id be used to that, but it never fails to start my day smiling out there, its my place where i can wake up with peace and a cuppa!

Riding was a giggle Tuesday as i got Jack instead of my usual bad mood Billy but he looked half asleep ! he wasn't as bad as Billy usually is but my legs still hurt, you would think after this time they would be more used to it, but no, im smiling away the next day so my fella doesn't take the mickey.. my eldest son came and watched me which was lovely as he said unlike his dad he really enjoyed himself, the last time my fella went to watch my daughter ride they found him in the car park, seat reclined fast asleep (which didnt go down well) so i dont ask him anymore to come with me, just enjoy myself and talk him to death when i get home (well i have to do that so he knows how i feel when he runs on about seo work! ) haha

We've had Dayle up cutting hair twice so my longish length is now no longer ! hes been trying for weeks to cut it his way and after the drs and bad iron levels i thought it would do it good so went for the chop ! it was a bit shocking at first as i constantly twiddle my hair when im engrossed so it felt weird, my friends have been great though and said they prefer it, i think if im honest so do i, it looks nice and healthy and feels so much thicker, i wouldn't let anyone else near my hair with scissors but i trust Dayle and know how good he is at picking styles to suit people, we all look at styles in books and wish, but if your hairs not capable then we have to get real, so im glad i got it cut.

Hes been up since and transformed my kids from messy to youngsters that look so trendy, this morning for the first time my daughter came down in a skirt shoes with a little heal and tights, i had to look twice, she looked so grown up her hair was past her bum and a pain for riding, so its now modern and a length she loves, it shows with her new found confidence too...lol

Last night was cuban salsa at the Staithe. Sharon and Richard arrived back from Cuba yesterday afternoon and came straight out to be with us all, how tired must they have felt ! Sharon was wiggling away all night and by the looks of it has picked up some amazing regaetton moves, im so looking forward to doing those in class ! hehe Ive got my very own dance cuban T-shirt now to wear in the summer and cant wait til the 25th of May, its the salsa fiesta day, all day and night you will find us up there dancing and enjoying ourselves im really looking forward to it.

We've been having such a giggle in the class as Jackie (queen of rueda) Helen, Pat and Rose have all been helping out and taking Thursdays classes, these guys have given us so many giggles over the last few weeks, many new moves and we've really enjoyed having them there so im hoping they keep coming along now, they have been teaching me to dance on the 2 for son which im now picking up, every time i see Helen i just want to shout 'Fabulous' she makes everyone around her laugh so much and is such a wonderful character, They call me and Steve the Burrowers ! (its when we went to London with them all and fed the mini bus from our never ending magic bag !) never knew i had one of those did you... I really love these guys and look forward to seeing them every week, we're all meeting up Sunday and going along to see Max so im looking forward to having a giggle which i know we will have with these guys..

It is so nice to see Sharon and Richard again they both look so well and cubanised, so the summers looking good !

Its my birthday this week which im excited about, so much of my life started changing this year for my 40th (life begins in more ways than we expect) so 41 is one im looking forward to......

Im starting the day out hacking through the fields which is one hack i hope to remember fondly and finishing the day in a place ive grown to love......

My fellas got me the gift i wanted most which is a course on horsecare that runs over 6 weeks, im starting on Monday so wont be home now til midnight !! haha Im allowed to take my camera to this every week so will fill you all in on the fun, im doing everything from mucking out (at 10oclock at night) to cutting the manes, so im like a child in a sweet shop this week, thats just got a huge bag of sherbet..........

Have a brilliant weekend everyone, im getting my favourite salsa track on tonight and grabbing my fella for a dance......

Riding in The Snow

Its been a busy week , hense my lack of posting, sorry everyone......

Ive been trying to cram everything in this week, but whatever i failed in i'll sort out later.. its good to procratinate sometimes...lol

Last night i was standing in the most beautiful garden in the snow, it was lovely getting covered and allows me to use heavy snow fall as the excuse for acting like a child..lol

Im so pleased with my kids this week, their reports were good and they had a 100% attendance record again, its not easy in school holidays to try keep working so thankfully my lot are all strong and healthy the rest of the time...

Today we thought riding would have been cancelled so i rang earlier to check, but it was still on and surprised us ...

So off we set slowly today as my road was like a skating rink, and my little girl wasnt very well bless but really did still want to still ride.... so i had to go with it..although i didnt really want her to as shes not as strong as usual and hasnt eaten much all week..

We got there and sarahs hubby John had been up digging and raking over the whole field, so although i bet he aches bless, it enabled us to still enjoy our day..so a big thank you goes out to him..

There were only 3 of us today and it was freezing and very white everywhere, but once we got started we soon warmed up, Shadow was having another really eratically fast day again, all three horses were strange to say the least.....

Anyway nearly half way through the lesson we were all cantering round one at a time and it was then laurens turn on her pony, thats where it all kind of went wrong........

She was cantering round the ring and a lump of snow fell from the ridge of the fence , it wasnt big but scared her pony badly, she then bucked in canter and off over the horses heas went Lauren doing a somersault.............

I have never shouted so loud, i honestly thought the pony was going to ride over her, but somehow it managed to avoid her, she did right and as weve both been told, rolled and curled up and thankfully apart from scaring the hell out of us and a good few bruises shes ok, i told sarah not to make her get back on the pony, Lauren has to do what she feels and it was a really bad fall, but bless after 20 mins and getting her wind back she asked to go back on.........i am really proud of her today,she was so brave and determined ...

Anyway we took a few photos today , there would have been more but the camera got thrown when lauren did but im sure well make up for it next week....

So we gave them their polos said a big thank you to John and came home, i then had a salsa lesson to do.... so i have very sore feet now..lol

Have a great weekend everyone, ill be thinking of my friends at chant tonight and sending them all my warmest wishes, but for reasons beyond my control i cant sadly be there, although i wanted to more than ever........... so ill wish you all a fantastic night and sending loads of love from me.......

Like the Wind

Its Saturday again, my favourite day of the week...........yipeeeee horse riding lol

Its been a great morning, my fella arrived home safely but early at 6 last night, so we got to unpack and get it all out of the way so today's freed up, its been lovely to just get up, listen to my music, get myself ready and go... its a lovely way to start the day..

Today we finally got our calenders and photos, we are both so pleased, my mum and grandparents will finally get to see us both smiling our heads off riding, it will be a gift my mum i know will love..

The lesson went really well today i made the double jumps this time staying on that saddle..lol but Lauren did exactly the same thing as i did last week, so were now officially both clingons..lol

Laurens now learning to jump too and is taking it slow but surely...

I wont forget to keep those heels down and she'll make sure she leads the horse not visa versa..lol

I will take the calenders to work and scan it so i can post the images but as i don't have one at home , Ive taken a couple on a camera so they are not as good as the real ones but a good start...

I cant believe how far we have come in a few short months, im so proud and pleased im having time out with my little girl, and so happy i am finally feeling that wind through my hair ...........

Its amazing how a horse can make you feel like you can fly, its doing wonders for my confidence and every week now i just cant wait to get there.....

Who ever said you're too old to try new things ....lol

Head Over Heels

The days flown by today, i struggled to get out of bed this morning, but it was riding so i couldn't miss it...

It was a really eventful lesson, we did our normal class and were then getting into the car when Sarah asked if i wanted to have another go in the next lesson as there was only one girl and shes on the showjumping class, so back i went, Sorrel got double the amount of Polo's today too..lol

But that wasn't the best bit, we started off doing the normal jumps until they started doubling them up..

You have to stay in jumping position all the way through as the horse knows theres only one stride til he jumps again, so i was doing really well, until that 2nd jump !! lol

I did the first jump fine but when he went to take the next i brought my heels back a bit (thats a no no) (keep those legs forward and heels down ) so as he landed on the second jump out of the stirrups my feet came and off the seat i slid.. it happens so quick and at this stage im in canter as the jumps are quite high he cannot take them in trot, so canterings a must, i got to the corner and knew i was coming off and then it kicked in my version of a carry on film....... everyone up the stables was up on their feet shouting for the horse to stop, but he didn't...

Have you ever seen a mad woman ride in canter bareback around a horses neck ? hehe

I did...

My bum was off the saddle id moved forward in front of the saddle onto the horses neck, so i did what came naturally ......... clung on for dear life...lol

The strange thing is i knew then i wouldn't fall, so 3 times round the ring i went legs dangling round poor Sorrels head like a moustache as hes cantering round, with the girls now in hysterics, and Nikita wanting to get a camera................(that's so mean) but it was great fun..........

Sarah said shes never seen anything so funny in her life, im not coming off that horse in a hurry and proved that today... they said anyone else would have fell and cant work out how the hell i hung on, i must have really good balance... lol .. more like really good grip !

Believe me i was cuddling that horses head to well like he was Brad Pitt.... and it worked...

So today Ive learned bareback neck riding too.. i can stay on that horse if i hold on tight enough, and given the girls there something to giggle about for the rest of the week...

The funny thing was i wasnt at all scared, i probably should have been, but i couldnt help laugh when i could see the girls all cracking up trying to stop the horse, while im hanging there like a clingon with my polos in tow....lol

Roll on next Saturday......... this is now starting to get really exciting.......

whatevers next ...........lol

Showjumping

Back as usual from riding with my smile permanentaly embeded, it was so good today...(yes i say that every week , but it is..lol)

Lauren is now kitted out completely so shes happy, although we still cannot get her to canter, shes still leaning backwards when she trotts so were just allowing her to build her confidence and not pushing..

Im on such a high..... i just want to shout, grab my cowboy hat and go..lol

The lessons are building well and im now happily able to do most things except what im itching to do..show jump......

Ive done a few really low ones, but today i was told at the end of the lesson ive done so well im now ready, so next saturday i start properly to learn something ive always wanted to do since i was small..

I cant explain the feeling riding gives me every week, im itching to get back there and feel so at home on that horse..

Next sunday is calender day so i get to take my hat off (ive got a posh one now!) and feel that wind in my hair cantering up that field...

Zorrel is the horse i will be jumping with too, so talk about happy........i am glowing today inside out......

My fella looked a little concerned when ive told him, and i know theyd love to wrap us up in cotton wool sometimes, but im not that kind of girl...

I bounce back from most of lifes crap it slings at me, so lets hope i bounce as well if i fall too........

And get straight back on that horse..... lol

Weekend of rest

I definitely have that Saturday feeling today............lol

Grinning like a Cheshire cat as usual... yes Ive been riding....

It was a great lesson again, I'm enjoying it so much the more i go the more i want to, so Saturdays now is my favourite day of the week...

We are doing a calender in a couple of weeks on the 28th and I'm gonna get to ride bareback with no hat on, wearing my slashed top and jeans.... i cant wait........ I'm allowed to ride both the white horse and the chestnut and have been asked to canter through a field (i wish it was the beach though, that's my ultimate wish) , but its gonna be a good day....

Anyone that knows me will know ill have a go at anything (except heights) so looks like Ive been roped in...I'm gonna post the photos when they are done, so hopefully they will be better than my last attempt with that sexy army hat on ! lol

The house is really quiet today Ive only just got back, as we went to the unit to lay carpets and ended up working half the day, but it feels much warmer, so I'm glad we did ...

My fellas engrossed in his football (yuk) so I'm blogging then off for a drive, to sing my head of...

Its such a shame i couldn't get a sitter tonight as i would have loved to got out of here for a few hours, its my first weekend off for ages and I'm stuck in............... my fellas tired but I'm rearing to do something , so i may be extra nice to him today and see if hell sit for me........

Flying today

Wow ! what a morning........ Ive had the best time, ive been horseriding......

I was a bit nervous today as i had to miss last weeks lesson, but as soon as i saw my horse that rush came again... im being kept on Zorrel, the most elegant chestnut ive seen, hes beautiful...

So today i was in my element, theyve got me up to cantering now so the lessons are getting really good, i also did my first jump today (only a low one, but its a start) so i am buzzing inside..lol

It was eventful as my daughter came off twice during the lesson, and nearly made a hattrick but we shouted to keep her heels down and she managed to stay on, but at least she fell with style..lol it happens

I feel so much more comfortable on this horse, he responds so well to me now and at the end of the lesson we usually rise and trott round once before turning in and as i rode so beautifully today i got an extra time on my own, as she told me to keep going til my smile had had enough..lol so i kept riding......... i loved my kickboxing, but its not the same feeling i get when im riding, i finally think.........

ive found something thats meant for me.......

Right time to shower and get my bum into gear its time for photos.......

ive got the feeling they will turn out good today..........

God im flying today..............

Freedom

Say hi to freedom... lol

I went to my riding lesson yesterday, but as my usual horse is the worst behaved there lol (funny that) and doesn't like Sunshine, rain or wind i was asked to ride freedom, this week another white one... she was lovely..

Shadow threw off the instructor last week due to the weather and she got hurt so, they decided to let me ride another grey this week, shes bigger more powerful but behaved impeccably for me.. bless

My partner came again to watch, but Ive asked him not to anymore for a while i like my Independence and will learn quicker if i know no ones watching, besides he doesn't want me to learn to jump so its probably better that i go alone, i do want to learn...

I drove there this week.... its a breakthrough... i actually found the way, Kimblewick isn't an easy one either its on the way to Dereham, so I'm really pleased with myself, i get to take my car now.....

I was with the group this week, still a little nervous but slowly grasping to just use your feet and bum and leave your hands loose, she caught me a couple of times by spinning circles but im managing to stay on....lol

This week i was trotting happily along on my own, my bum is slowly getting adjusted, but is a little tender, doesn't help that i went and had my bikini waxed just before...lol

but im wearing my g strings happily and really enjoying Saturdays....

My fellas decided hes buying me a proper hat ! every week i borrow one and they are not nice... i got what loke like an army tin one this week which cracked me up, but seems im there to add to my experiences .im not worried what i look like, its what it feels like im interested in.. so yes im posting the picture with the tin hat on....lol just so you can all have a giggle...

Next week im riding with my daughter, so were going on our own in my car with the top down if its sunny... watch it rain.... lol
