Sunshine and showers

Its been quite an eventful couple of days, we've both been working like mad this end, none of us particularly felt very energetic but we've got it done, thankfully.

I have got the paint tins out but sadly that's only as far as ive managed, i keep looking at them so who knows tonight may just be the night..

My fella has a meeting tonight so its the perfect time to get busy, ive been given tamiflu so have to stay indoors until tomorrow, i thought i was really tired last week and was riddled with headaches and aches and pains but just put it down to low iron and a period but the drs think i had swine flue... well that just goes to prove my theory on myself ! i am a bloody swine then.......hehe

Today we had a phone call and the unit that i use to store my machines and endless things we need here but need to make room to bring home, has been broken into.. im praying my sons drum kit isn't one of the things that's missing, it was his Xmas pressie that we struggled to save up for, we moved it into storage for a couple of weeks along with a fair bit of the kids stuff so i could get their bedrooms sorted out, i haven't decorated up there since they were one and it badly needs a coat of paint, I know times are hard but stealing in my books is disgusting.. If you want something then you should bloody work and save for it! I have to and teach my kids to do the same thing so its not going to be nice explaining that what little bits they did have have been stolen...arseholes keeps coming to mind today.. but as my fella said some things can never be taken away eh ! and id rather have my kids and fella than anything materialistic... Sometimes its not so easy though to stay optimistic and i have to kick myself back into reality when my mind goes off wandering into forbidden things called holidays....hehe

My mum phoned last night from Tobago screaming that her fella had been eaten by a shark! not the normal "hello Jo, how are you all call" What on earth do you say to that one? it sure was a long night... Thankfully he was found safe but struggling with cramp after 4 hours treading water by the coastguard. Hes captain of a boat out there and scuba diver instructor, they were out looking for lobsters and something went wrong but it did make me think, what would happen to mum if anything happened to Lem? shes built her life out there around him .. i wouldn't like to think of her out there alone thats for sure, hes a big bloke and known on the island not to mess with, so mums safe with him, im not so sure it would be like that without him standing beside her though.

Anyway its time to cook and pick up that paintbrush, my fella will be arriving back soon with his guests so its time for me to make myself invisible..........

Yes im going to pick up that paintbrush too tonight and get it done !

Tomorrow the suns coming to visit again and im not being stuck in here all weekend again, last weekend was bad enough i didn't see my fella at all, as he was doing the course during the days and working online when he got home, so this weekend im dragging him off the computer and taking some time out together...

Have a great weekend everybody, enjoy the sunshine............

Well Im Bored !

Im trying to muster the enthusiasm to cook something for tea...or should i say im skiving off listening to YouTube as usual and surfing the net trying to look busy..lol

Ive done my work in regards to the store and wrote several articles for the website blog, but im so bored now !! I really just DONT want to cook or clean up, do you think anyone would notice if i didn't? it will only look the same tomorrow anyway its a school holiday.

I went out and bought myself a paintbrush today! that was an idea i had planned earlier for when i get bored ' I know i said to myself ill paint the house! ' that kinda feeling ~ trouble is i can't be arsed to do that today either.. hehe

My fellas been engrossed in his work today and i promised i wouldnt bug him :( oh yes i'll admit i have been known to go yap away when hes trying to concentrate, which isnt fair, so im trying to find my drive that seems to have drove off up the street...

Ive been out bought all sorts of yummy ingredients to cook cakes with the kids later, but its one of those rare days that im all churned up and just want to get out...

So i'll go pour myself a cuppa...

grab a ciggy ....

and ..............

go pluck off all the tomatoes my sons got growing on his beloved plant.. (he counts them constantly) hehe

I can just blame the others like they do !!! or the birds

Car Radio Stolen need help!

Can you please help?

Yesterday our car radio was stolen from the car while we were out shopping.

Fortunately for us a security camera mounted on a wall near the car park has recorded the incident so theres hope for us.

The police have given us a photograph of the suspect and asked us to circulate this to friends in the hope that this person can be identified.

While some features seem to look familiar to my fella, we cannot positively identify the suspect; but hopefully you might be able to help.

Please let me know if you have any clues because, while losing the radio doesn't really matter,
My fella would just love to get his hands on this criminal............... lol

Something to start the day

Came across this while wondering round the web so thought id share...

Dodo visited her physician to ask his help in reviving her boy friend's libido.

"What about trying Viagra?", asks the doctor.

"Not a chance", she said."He won't even take an aspirin."

"Not a problem," replied the doctor. "Give him an 'Irish' Viagra. It's when you drop the Viagra tablet into his coffee. He won't even taste it."

"Give it a try and call me in a week to let me know how things went"

It wasn't a week later she called the doctor, who directly inquired as to progress. The poor dear exclaimed,"Oh, faith, Bejaysus and begorrah! That was horrid! Just terrible, doctor!"

"Really? What happened?" asked the doctor.

"Well, I did as you advised and slipped it in his coffee and the effect was almost immediate.
He jumped straight up, with a twinkle in his eye,and with his pants a-bulging fiercely!
With one swoop of his arm, he sent the cups and tablecloth flying, ripped me clothes to tatters and took me then and there, took me passionately on the tabletop!
It was a nightmare, I tell you, an absolute nightmare!"
"Why so terrible?" asked the doctor, "Do you mean the sex wasn't good?"

"That was the best sex I've had in years! But sure as I'm sittin' here,

I'll never be able to show me face in Starbucks again!"

Never too old to learn

Its Friday already! my word this weeks flown by..

The boys are coming home today! i cant believe im saying this but i dont like a quiet house. lol

I keep walking round tidying up things that are already tidy, it feels really strange, im really looking forward to them coming home, the only part im not looking forward to is driving out to collect them! im so useless with directions my fellas shown me twice now and i bet i get lost again...

Hes in Yarmouth today starting his 4 day physical course, we have spent every night sitting here til gone 3am trying to get through the paperwork, im so glad im not at school anymore, 500 words on this and 350 on that, it takes as long to sit there counting the words as it does to think of what to write :) But he got offered the chance to do this from a friend and its a good thing to do and know, so why not!

Last night we both hit a brick wall, we were both so tired, so when 8 0 clock hit we turned off the laptops, we spent a couple of hours watching a movie with Lauren talking all the way through it before all falling alseep in a heap on the sofa..lol
Shes been a little gem this week though and has more than supported her mum and dad, she was even reading his books to learn it herself!weve done lots of little things together too which has been lovely, ive really enjoyed our time together, so after packing today will make a load of cakes as she wants to do and prepare for the onslaught of hungry brothers.. I felt so sorry for her when we dropped the boys off, its so beautiful there and overlooks a lake, the sun was out and i felt my heart sink for her, shes never had a holiday but she hasnt moaned once, ive learnt that shes just as scared of the dark as me and that she feels some security from having 3 brothers that she doesnt like, as theres always at least one upstairs playing on the X box when she doesnt want to be upstairs on her own.. see they do come in handy Lauren !

Its strange but ive really missed my fella this week too, i havent really seen him at all, no kids no fella and a tidy house! when theres noone to mess it up for me i get bored ! lol

This weekend were not doing anything good as my fella is working on this course til Tuesday so its me and the kids and endless camping tales i guess.....lol

I missed my salsa last night but he couldnt do this course without doing all the written work, and as i discovered it wasnt easy, its for an A level so important to get it right..

Who says you're too old to learn? needs to come and meet my fella...

Hes definately A standard in our eyes..

Good luck this week Steve.. enjoy it !

Finding peace

This morning has been such a good one, the boys are upstairs preparing for their holiday tomorrow, Lauren and me have been chatting away doing girly stuff and painting our nails, its lovely when you get up and dont have to get straight into work, I love weekends..

Yesterday my fella and me went off walking, originally it was to get those last minute bits the kids need for tomorrow but we ended up doing all those little things we never get time to do, it was lovely, Hes just like me in so many ways, what other guy would look so pleased to get a new windowscreen wiper..lol its been driving him mad as it was broke so even though it was sunny we were driving up the road with them on full.. Just because we could!

This week is such a big week for him his projects are all doing fine but he has a rather important meeting on Tuesday, i know he will do well, hes brighter than any man i know and if he doesnt know an answer will find it, lady luck landed on my plate when i met him, it doesnt matter what we dont have, its what we do that means the most, i have an amazing family a very sexy fella and so much love for this lot, I caught my daugher this morning trying to write to tescos for the mum of the year award, how sweet is that..

The kids are all officially in the summer holidays and although mother natures not being so kind with all this rain my lot are all enjoying themselves, I took them to see Harry Potter as promised so its stopped the nagging but we all agreed it wasnt as good as we hoped, the ending was a bit wish wash, netherless it was a lovely evening with us all coming home complaining of overeating, why do they make that popcorn so good, i ate a whole tub and was giggling away watching my fella munch through an enormous bag of what was supposed to the the kids sweets.. Im not sure who the biggest kids are, i think we win that title..lol

Today im chilling out and cooking something nice, ive got to do the rounds in a moment of checking the kids bags and making sure they havent forgotten anything but judging by the state of the bulging bags everything and my kitchen sinks in there.Several of my things have dissapeared overnight of course that mr nobody must have taken again, whoever would need styling mouse in a tent? i think their appearance will be the last thing they will be worrying about, judging by my eldest lads untouched soap bag last year ! lol

Im organising some fun stuff to do with Lauren this week, starting with a sleep over tomorrow night so its going to be a girly week and hopefully one that will allow me and my daughter some quality time together, we're riding tomorrow evening and both looking forward to the week ahead.

Im going to really miss the boys, but this is Brandon and Callums first holiday, so ill be smiling knowing they are having a great time, amusing really they get to experience canoeing before me! Dont you wish you were a boy sometimes.... I do .. lol

Time for breakfast.......

Breakfast at Hogwarts

God I'm gonna go nuts if i have to hear Harry Potter anymore this morning..lol I know they want to go see it and yes i know it starts today at the cinemas, they do make me giggle sometimes don't they realise that each time they just mention it, I'm getting told x 4 !

Yes i will see what i can do, id like to see it too...

This morning was eggs all round ! every morning the kids choose what they want for breakfast, I'm trying to get them more sociable in the mornings (unlike dad i heard you all say) hehe

So they sit up the table and talk about the day ahead so for the last few days ive been getting up at silly O clock and preparing breakfast, i had to boil a dozen eggs this morning and then they asked for more! what is my food bill going to be like here, we are lucky in respects my fella cooks amazingly well so between us we manage to come up with some lovely meals, but dont buy convenience foods, its cheaper to buy a joint of meat and cook fresh its also much healthier..

My fella sadly didn't find the time to salsa with me last night, he was working and engrossed, so i decided to trash the kitchen and bake all night! i havent done that in a while but I'm glad i did, it was very therapeutic and looking at the tubs of cakes in there now it was worthwhile, i was bored but didn't want to work so decided to do something different.

Today ive got packing to get through first then its down to the high school for more forms and to collect the new uniforms... ill be paying a visit to the bank on the way of course...

with a nice black balaclava and water pistol and putting it down to having triplets.........lol

Sunshine and Shadows

What a beautiful morning! for some reason all the kids got up with me today so it was breakfast all round and such a happy atmosphere, the kids were all singing away, how lovely is that.

My fella was working til gone 4am so Ive left him to lie in, once they all go to school i then wake him up, hes not a morning person and this lot aren't very quiet to wake up to..lol

Brandon's appointment went well although i didn't realise he had been put onto the disabled register, that shocked me a bit, ill admit, we've been through all this with Callum when he was diagnosed with autism, why label kids like that? to me they are just as beautiful and intelligent as any child out there but have far more manners, common sense and kindness, yes they argue but don't all siblings..lol
But at least he will get the extra help he needs to learn at high school to prepare him for that big bad world, so ill go along with it and back them up at home, none of us knew what it was like out there when we were young (just what our parents said) but like every lesson, be it in a classroom or through life, we learn in the end.....
I had to smile this morning as i received a phone call from the high school from a lovely lady who is trying to help me with the kids and expense that moving up to big school brings, its a nightmare! so far without shoes, coats, trousers or skirts etc its already totted up a bill of £369.00 ! i had so many forms to fill in that again all wanted money in advance for school trips, lockers etc, i just wrote on the forms sorry im skint out will have to pay for trips nearer the time! it must have hit home as she was giving me numbers to try of charities that may help, i knew it was going to be hard but its past a joke, 4 lots of everything including 2 different uniforms for my eldest as hes doing the diploma this year at school and colledge and needs 2 be dressed in uniforms for both places........... times like these dont you wish there was such a thing as a money tree..lol when my kids were little they used to tell me to "go to the hole in the wall mum and get some money" !! hehe now they are older at least they understand that you have to actually have money in the bank to do that ! phewwwwwww they are good though and never moan when the other kids go places and they dont, they have learnt that although i want the best for them, sometimes things are just out of reach, its good in respects nothings come easy here, and they understand that we have to live to our means, not simply what the other kids have..
Im not sure if these places can help yet but its certainly worth a try as without it my lot know they cant go on some of the trips, the uniforms are stretching me already.. im flexible but not made of plastic...lol

Yesterday turned out a lovely day, the stables were so hot and sunny so we got to do the jumping class outside again, which we both loved, they had changed our horses again and halfway through me and jean changed over so it was pretty hard, no horse is the same up there.

We completed what we were asked and are now up to jumping doubles in canter, Its so exciting, all my frustrations went out of the window when i got into that arena, i can understand why so many people are always up there. That's the kind of free spirited life id love, i don't like having a stomach always churning over because of others, I'm a good person and happy with who i am inside and so is my fella and that's all what matters to me.

Last night i went back and was put on Jack, my word he was a testing boy last night, he behaved well waiting to go down to the stables, but all night decided he was on a go slow! lol

I think that's just how it is with him most times, but at least i always have something to work at! hehe

Today Ive ploughed through the work and housework so am going to cook something nice for my fella later and hopefully practise some salsa, the kids are all out at school to their leaving BBQ and Disco so we may as well turn this place into one and enjoy ourselves..

I'm playing this weekend by ear and hopefully finding something fun to do, we have been talking about going down and hiring some canoes so if my fellas up for it that's first on the list!

The boys all go away together next week camping with the boys brigade!, which means they have also broke up from school for the summer holidays ! omg 7 weeks of bedlam again...
so we have 5 days free of the boys tormenting their sister to make the most of, before the madness sets in and i start pulling my hair out with endless " im bored" conversations.. lol

Lauren will be spending her days with me, while my fella works so we plan to do lots of girly things together, hopefully evenings we can all just jump in the car and go.... I keep hoping its going to get easier now they are all a bit older, but we will see, im going to have 4 teenagers all in here together so i better keep that sense of humour intact and be ready for the hormone overdose .. this years gonna be fun !

Sunrise

Mondays starting with a heavy head and heart, some things i dont think ill ever understand in life.

Ive worked out even when you feel you are taking one step forward, someones always there to knock you backwards, its hard to keep looking for the good out there, perhaps there just isnt any.

Time for my cuppa and go sit with the birds, ive got a busy one today so started the day extra early.

I have a meeting this morning with Brandons special needs people and thankfully riding this afternoon, If ever theres a day i need to feel some peace its today.
Hopefully my four legged friends can help me out there...
Have a good day everyone..

Lord Mayors Procession After party

Last night we went along to the talk for the Lord mayors procession after party, talk about watch in owe, the dancers were all so amazing i spent most of the night with my fella just watching them all.

From what we heard the day went really well, so a pat on the back and congratulations is well deserved for all those people that worked so hard and took part in the first Cuban salsa show.

Sharon told me last night that Leandro Charanga is coming to the Staithe on the 28th August to the Dance Cuban Party along with Sacha who will be helping out with the music so its one event everyone should be adding to that diary.

We watched Leandro last night and couldn't believe what we were seeing ! he has such a unique style and had everyone transfixed, its an art form in itself to watch what this guy does and his style its so beautiful, yet cheeky, his moves were unlike anything Ive ever seen in salsa before, at one point he had a lady turning, to then end up with her in the air balanced on his foot! it was something else to watch, so I'm really looking forward to the party now, theres going to be so many good dancers there its a night not to forget my camera.

Spining around

Oh my word are my feet killing me this morning, its not just me my fellas exactly the same! My eyes are swelled up and ive had hardly any sleep again! thats what you get for wiggling at my fella, he says its all my fault...

Last night was such a good night, Stalhams definately the place to be on Thursdays. Its Cuban Salsa time!

Sharon and Richard had us all wiggling and up on our feet, the music was simply brilliant.. Sharons regaetton is so much fun even the guys get up now and join in, how great is that!

You knew it was going to be a good night when you saw Sharon in that dress...wow, talk about sexy! Richard will soon have to start carrying a fire extinguisher! Ill show you the photos later, i plan on writing a few blogs this weekend.. i probably wont have the energy for much else!

We did everything from Regaetton & Bacharta to our Cuban salsa (and Steve's timba) its always a party atmosphere and my favourite night of the week! I danced with my fella to a Regaetton track and nearly forgot where i was ! lol .. it really is such a great night, we need more guys up there to learn salsa, so what are you waiting for? whoever thinks its not masculine needs to come watch this ! take it from me (im female and know this stuff) its the guys that can dance and try that get the ladies attention, and such good fun while keeping us on our toes.. where else can you take the lead and not get moaned at! lol ....we love it!

This weekend is going to be a Red Bull one ! im already aching from last night and we still have two party nights to go! oh my word is this gonna be a weekend to remember...

Tonight its our friends party and one we are all looking forward to, I already know its gonna be a night to remember, it always is as nobody cares what they look like everyones there to enjoy themselves and simply party, my fellas said hes up for lessons on the pole too, so ill take my camera and catch him in the act! im so looking forward to this...hehe The only problem im having is what do i wear? i tend to stick to jeans usually but i cant poledance in them! so if anyone has any ideas please help! (clean 0nes only please!) failing that ill wear my outfit and shove my shorts on underneath...lol ill look like ive got some hips then too !

Tomorrow if we are still able to walk we are being picked up by our salsa friends and hitting the 'Talk' for the 'Lord mayor's procession after party'! there will be live music from la Cuban ritmo, who weve already seen before (they are totally amazing!) so its gonna be a very lively and exciting weekend....... with a weekend long hangover..hehe We wanted to be part of the prcocession but my fella couldnt get the time off saturdays to attend the practise sessions :( so im sending all my best for you guys tomorrow and will catch up with you all at the after party! God i wish i could have been part of that... the last time i danced down a street with sharon and the girls was such a giggle... theres another street fair coming up at Ingham very soon, where we will get to repeat that one....

Party, Party, Party !

My god wheres that red bull.... we are going to need wings to get us through this lot....lol

Running In Circles

Its been a manic week, so much to do but I'm slowing getting through it all.
Monday was riding which turned out to be a really exciting night. I was riding Jack again, who's turning out somehow to be my favourite horse, yes hes a nutcase but if you get him in a good mood hes amazing, its just sitting outside and waiting for the other riders he doesn't seem to like much, neither do i ! its like playing chess riding him, every move has a consequence so you have to think fast! a friend who's usually in the later class came early and joined our group, she was only coming over to say Hi and was riding Pip but Jacks ears went straight back and he started stomping his feet about again, its the only time I'm nervous on that horse probably as i know its concrete underneath, Ive learnt to keep him well away from anything now, I don't know yet if they will let me ride him yet in my jumping class, but id like to try so have mentioned it, Ive been told he loves to jump so I'm prepared for hard lesson but will make sure i think ahead and stay focussed, even if i have to work up to him its worth the wait, i enjoy a challenge and would love to feel how he jumps..

Only 3 of us were there for the horse care course afterwards this week, i wasn't sure of what we were doing but was still looking forward to it, it turned out that we were all going to try lunging!

Kevin showed us what to do and in turn we all had a go, it was one of his beautiful horses Wesley that we lunged hes 3 and so elegant, but hasn't even been ridden so for the last week they have been working on getting him familiar with the reins and commands, the first part went lovely Kevin was brilliant and so was my friend when she took over from him.

It was then time to change the reins so Kevin called me over, i was nervous i wont say i wasn't, the horse is huge and wild in that respect but i listened carefully and tried my best to sooth and talk to him as he was doing his circles, it wasn't all smooth sailing as when i first started he didn't just speed up into trot he took off ! thankfully all those Fridays walking the horses in and out of those fields paid off, I didn't panic, instead dug in my heels and tried to get him calmer and more happy, Kevin told us afterwards hes fine one way but as soon as he runs the opposite way he gets a bit temperamental..lol that's an understatement, you can feel the power down that lead its amazing, the hardest part i found was keeping the whip up and working in a triangle, you are concentrating so hard to make sure he doesn't run in towards you and keeping his balance going well there are a million things running round up there in your head that are all needed to be in use at once. I really enjoyed the night, came home aching just about everywhere as usual but went to sleep smiling, it had been a busy but really good day.

The rest of the week has been working and what seems endless kids stuff to get through, its coming up to summer holidays so all the paperwork needs to be in and i have to get organised before they break up. Ive spent hours filling in all the high school forms out by the triple batch, after a while it gets really frustrating, the uniforms are now ordered for next week and I'm slowing getting there.. today was quite a comedy day as i had 2 school plays to sit through, packing and posting orders before i left, straight into a meeting at the high school, then onto the college for my eldest sons diploma and to see his tutors ! i was knackered .. It seems so strange that the triplets are moving up to high school in September, they still look so small. or is that me just being a typical mum? they are all really excited and looking forward to telling everyone they are nearly teenagers....hehe

My fella wasn't in the best mood and didn't want to go to the school play he moaned sufficiently enough that i just went on my own without complaint ( its easier that way sometimes..lol )the poor cleaners had to direct me back to my car though, as i had walked past the same lady 3 times! how could i have got lost in there, its embarrassing, some things never change for the better do they! my sense of direction will always be useless.

I'm sure that's the only reason i did OK with the lunging, the horse only needs to run round in a circle, it would have been a different story if id needed to find my way round a course! ....lol

Mother Natures Gifts

Its been an amazing week, the suns been shining away for us so we have been trying to enjoy it and get some life back!

Monday morning i spent packing for the website ready for 2pm when it was my jumping lesson with Jean up the stables, we both really enjoyed the class although feeling hot was an understatement, i had Solomon who is a biggy and Wendy took us to the outside arena to do the lesson, it was lovely to be out there with the sun shining on us but very hot! i completed my first triple jump and came home wailing like a banchee, poor Steve i couldn't shut up, he was trying to look interested honestly...lol

Dayle had come to visit and cracked up at the state i came home in, im always happy when im doing something that challenges me though, i dont care how dirty i get, its half the fun, id been wiping my face (i was sweating like mad) but forgot i had black gloves on, which do tend to bleed when they are wet..hehe No wonder people looked at me when i was sitting at those traffic lights, i thought they were just being friendly...hehe

Monday night we all went out a family, our Friend Mark turned up and handed me his car keys!! yipeeeee he went with my fella and some of the kids in our car, so me and Ryan pulled down the roof and were both smiling for England, it was hard when i lost my car, but Mark lending me his has given back that feeling i used to feel when i went out in mine.. i know its not mine and so do drive it with caution, but its just so lovely and i get to wear my cowboy hat again.... poor thing had cobwebs on it! We went out and had fantastic meal by the river and ended up walking up the river banks for hours so me and the kids could feed the swans..talk about peaceful, it was a wonderful way to end such a great day..I took so many pictures of the swans they ran off at the finish..lol

Tuesday it was my fellas birthday ! I had made sure he wasnt working and arranged a day out, we just wanted to chill out and enjoy the sun so i prepared a picnic and set off, we headed for waxham but when we got to Stalham it was so overcast we turned back, after driving just about every coastal route we could find we decided we would just drive round til we found where we wanted to be, it worked! we found a place thats just round the corner from ours that we didn't even know was there, talk about beautiful..

We were there all afternoon, lazing about in a field full of daisy's eating and chatting away, its been a long while since we unwound like that so i thought id make it a memorable one and misbehave myself..lol

There wasn't anyone about and he says its the best birthday hes ever had..

No one deserves a break more in my eyes so im glad he will remember it smiling...hehe

We got back just in time for the kids coming home and decided to make up jugs of sangria and do a BBQ for them, they have all been great kids and supported us when we worked constantly so it was lovely to spend a relaxing night just eating and singing the night away, i told them they were allowed one glass each then soft drinks but i noticed those jugs were getting rather low..lol the kids were also very chilled out, which made me giggle as they all said it wasnt them drinking it !

Mark popped round with his gift for my fella of pink champagne and a bottle of wine from every country round the world so my kitchen looked like a global hangover..lol it also made me giggle as i noticed a bottle of vodka and orange juice in amongst it, and my fella doesn't drink vodka, but through 'man eyes' it was to make sure my fella had a memorable birthday !

what are you saying then about me and vodka ? .....hehe

Wednesday the kids had been given a day off school to practise for a play they are in ? well thats the excuse they gave us parents, so we headed off picnic intact and went to Waxham! it was overcast but still lovely and warm so we spent the afternoon enjoying what is a rare day out together as a family..

I was talking away to my fella when i realised he had fell asleep so being the nature lover i am i decided to keep myself occupied! i honestly dont ever get bored as ill find something amusing to entertain myself with....

EVEN IF IT IS USUALLY AT HIS EXPENSE....lol

Thursday i worked hard to try make up for the time we had taken off and made myself feel better as i did well, but i haven't been skiving and have been doing all the packing and emails etc before bed, so although we had time out it worked as i found that balance that usually manages to elude me.. And discovered im an aunty again to a beautiful baby boy (congrats Becky) im so proud of my sister!

Last night we just about finished off our last bit of energy and went to our much loved Salsa !

That place last night was buzzing! it was like everone was on holiday and totally brilliant, doing regaetton trying to keep up with Sharon's routine had us all in stitches, theres such a good spirit and atmosphere up there you cant help but come home full of excitement, I love being part of that and love the friends we have made up there, we are all trying to arrange a beach party next! so if you think you are gonna get a quiet evening up Waxham one night and we get there first, think again! lol

Its gonna be a summer of sizzling salsa and a few more days off for my fella! ive never seen him look so peaceful as he did when he was sleeping last night, so this week needs to be what we learn from..

Mother nature holds so many wondrous gifts, the sunshine just added to its beauty..

Its given us something back that work took away, and has me looking at what i can do with the rest of it now..

Thank you to you people that have made this week such a special one...

Party Night then Dressage Event

Oh my word isn't it hot today!

Ive just got back from the dressage event to say I'm hot is an understatement, i have 3 pairs of socks on ! i got my boots secondhand and had to get a bigger pair ..lol

The morning started out a bit nervously, we decided to go along to the party last night and celebrate our anniversary with everyone there, so my fella was rather worse for wear.. He got me an olive tree as a gift which i thought was rather amusing as i don't really like olives (he does) lol
I didn't drink as i knew what i had to do today, but managed to have a brilliant night, all my sisters were there which was a real giggle, especially as they were all looking rather happy...lol we went late afternoon so started the afternoon thrashing each other at badminton (i haven't played that for years) talk about a giggle, even my fella had a go, but as the night unfolded it was a really good night, we all managed not to fall into Julies pond, although there was a few near misses :) there were people there we hadn't seen in years so it was great to catch up, i wouldn't want to live on that street though, 3 houses all were throwing parties on the same night! one of my sisters was hungry so took it in turns to go eat all the food from the other 2 then come back..lol

Although a didgeridoo isn't the normal thing you find at a party Damien who had lots of fun with it decided to get it out.. lol hes a personal fitness trainer (who shaves his egg rolls for customers to look at while they work out...lol he was telling us all about it too) its true !! hes also a very gorgeous bloke so can get away with it..

I came home giggling my head off and that was just on tea ! but a big thank you goes to Julie this morning for really making it a brilliant party, her gardens like something out of china with little raised levels and hideways pretty lights, it was amazing to see..

My sister had taken down her fences so the guests could all use her garden too, so between us we made the most of the space...

There was one lady there that cracked everyone up all night, talk about drunk, every time she went near the pond we were all on standby, that's the lady in this picture, which says it all really..lol I bet shes got a hangover from hell today..she was so funny and chased Damien about for most of the night..

Anyway back to today..

I was really nervous about not learning what i was supposed to memorize..oops it was a bit nerve wracking as everyone was busy doing their own thing outside in the arenas practising so i just resigned to the fact i was going to put this one down as an experience, i kept looking at the sheet but couldn't get my head round the course, i was thinking about the other stuff on there and what they were looking for, if i messed up the course that's one thing, but at least i could work on the other bits.
We were sent in the arena in two's, after being able to practise outside first, me and the another girl who's been riding for years were next in , she told me she wasn't worried as she knew the course inside out, she was riding Dolly, so i whispered to pip to help me out .. he must have heard me bless..

Thankfully they allowed my teacher to call out the course, which really helped, I'm sure the judges could hear my tummy going over, but it all went well although they didnt warn me there would also be spectators! it was my first attempt at dressage but WONT be my last now (I'm already entered into the next level) so i will make sure i practise, get it memorized and not leave it until the week of the event before i join, its all good acting spontaneously sometimes but NOT for dressage events (that was a nuts thing to do) the amazing news is i got scored higher marks than the other more experienced rider i was in with (which she didn't look very pleased about), but i did mess up on one of the circles (it was more egg shaped !) we were told they were marking low today but anything up from a 5 upwards from these ladies was good.. I got all 5s and 6s except on my egg impression where i got a 3...lol
I'm really pleased i had a go, even though Ive been worrying about it, now Ive done it once ill drop the nerves next time and up the practise.

Lauren came to watch so all the photos are thanks to her bless, i would have given Pip a mint when we finished but as i asked Lauren to hold them for me, there wasn't any left .. she ate the lot ! so ill take a few extra tomorrow.... at my jumping lesson......

Its been a really good weekend, I'm knackered, my house looks like a bombs hit it and I'm now going to start on my mum duties..
Ive had a couple of hours out today to be Jo...now i need to get this lot on track and ready for the new week !
I dont need to look at that on paper, though, i have memorized that lot through experience....hehe

Double Celebration

Its been a beautiful couple of days, the weathers been amazing !

Yesterday i spent the afternoon chilling out in the garden, people call it weeding, i call it clearing up behind the messy blackbird who empties my bird tables as soon as i fill them..lol Ive been watching her every morning and couldnt work out why she did it, but yesterday we found out.

She pops back after spraying all the food everywhere with so many little ones, my garden was alive with little happy visitors singing away beautifully.

Its amazing how much those simple things can lift your spirits, i ended up out there til gone 9pm and walking out there this morning with my cuppa was an absolute pleasure, it looks really beautiful.

We have grapes cherries, apples, tomatoes, lettuce, god knows how many herbs and a mixture of edible things, but i really enjoy being out there so its good all round..

The weeks been pretty mad for my fella as usual, hes doing himself proud and somehow manages to keep up to date with everything, we have had some help from our friend whos managing to teach my fella so much new stuff my head spins when they talk about it, ive been taken back by kindness some people have shown, its a lovely feeling.

Last night we hit the Staithe for our Cuban salsa class, we all get hard weeks where the works endless and have had a few of those recently, the only difference is we are both working for the same thing now and know what we want to acheive, so support each other all the way, but we both feel we want to kick up the dancing a bit more again now.. it was so hot in there last night, but really added to the night, it was like being abroad..lol

Its our anniversary saturday (16 years) AND my fellas birthday on Tuesday (21 again of course) so i may book up a nice table somewhere and take him out for a meal, putting up with me deserves a medal, so tonight im staying in and getting some practise with him to try and remember all these dances moves we have forgotten, its funny really but when your heads so full of work and ideas buzzing round like mad, its hard to remember much more after that, we both felt it and thankfully were able to just giggle at each other when we stood on each other or messed up everything..

We have been invited to a party Saturday night (yes another one!) but were not sure yet if we are going or not, so playing it by ear, its an old friend of ours and i know the alcohol will come into play as her parties are always lively.. so i may not go as yet, im sitting on a bl**dy horse sunday and dont want to live that dangerously...lol

The sad news of the day of course has to be about Michael Jackson, the pop superstar died last night aged 50! it just goes to prove you never know when your times up.

He was alarming at times and seemed to have many problems in his personal life, but i tended to just enjoy the music and ignore all the other stuff, he had to be troubled to try and change the way he looked like he did, it became freakish, but i know how it feels when you dont like yourself and felt like that when i was with Geoff, so i wont be judging or answering all the wacko Jacko jokes im getting text this morning.. hopefully he will be remembered for his music gift he leaves the world with and not all the bad stuff...

Anyway have a great day everyone, that weekends fast approaching !

Im not sure yet what im going to do with it yet except for one thing..

Im gonna enjoy it regardless...hehe

Blondes have more fun

Its been a hectic couple of days, the weekend was a blur we were both snowed under with work, so didn't do anything except that, but it has to be done, so you may as well just get on with it and try to keep smiling while you work.. we had invites for two different parties Saturday night and couldn't manage to make any of them sadly, these things happen i guess, my fella was working on something important and i last minute went to spend some time with my grandad, he had another operation last week and was feeling a bit sad so my sister phoned and asked me to go see him, Im glad i did, she was right..

I took the kids back Sunday and they cleared the biscuit tin in about ten mins flat which made grandad laugh, He's feeling much brighter today thankfully and recovering well, but he's been through so much this year and is looking forward to spending some quality time with nanny, and hopefully without all his hospital visits.

Fathers day was lovely we did spoil my fella all day, the kids all did little things for him without me having to remind them, which was thoughtful, we have such good kids, probably as hes such a good dad...

Yesterday was spent packing, followed by trying to sort out a new newsletter, Ive done so much work on the website blog this week and have missed writing in here, this is the place i get to write everything i want to, its like coming to visit a friend..

Last night i went riding as usual, i went down to the stables early and spent some time just walking about by myself, it was such a beautiful night for it, unlike last week when we rode through the storm..lol

I got to ride Pip for the lesson which was really good fun, for a small horse he doesn't half move quick ! as soon as you sit on him you can feel the excitement, he loves to run and is lovely to ride.
Im not sure how i managed to do it, but Ive got myself into competing in a dressage event on Sunday (which I'm rather nervous about) it seemed a good idea at the time when Wendy was talking about it, but it wasn't until she gave me the sheet that i realised what id got myself into, I have to memorize the course and what i need to do but hopefully get the horse to act beautifully for me, anyone who knows me will know I'm far from posh, so to sit on the horse trying to look elegant, suited and booted is going to make me giggle like hell..lol
I dont even own a tie ! I'm going to have to beg and borrow just about everything to do this, so i am dressed appropriately, black jacket, white shirt, black tie and black jodhpurs...Oh my word getting dressed up to get dirty eh...lol

I met up with my friend Anita after the class who has just got back from a holiday in Egypt. talk about looking healthy.. I had just filled the kettles up with the outside tap (well i cant work without a cuppa) but missing the lid completely with the tap, so stood there giggling away to myself looking like a drowned rat, i haven't been able to go see her horse while she was away, so caught up on saying hello to all the livery ones.. I do miss them, i used to look after those horses when i worked every Friday as a volunteer up there, so have to get back as soon as i can.. ive tried for the last 2 weeks but had to work so ill try again this week..

I managed to get some photos last night but i cant use the flash when it gets dark (it scares the horses) so apologies for the dark pictures, they are much more beautiful in real life though..

We started the horsecare and knowledge class at 8pm and Kevin led out a big black horse and handed me a huge electric clipper !! hehe cutting peoples hair im game for, but giving a horse a haircut is totally different.. it was a hell of an experience though, although you do have to keep your wits about you at all times, they are so unpredictable.
I thought we did quite a good job, but bare in mind it was really dark by the time we finished 11.45pm and i couldn't really see..lol
Im praying that horse still looks as good when the morning comes and she gets out in the sunlight, i bet they will be wetting theirselves up there today, when they see our version of clipping in the daylight.
We finished the night cutting, pulling, plaiting and grooming manes and tails so the horses got a good pampering session and plenty of sneaky mints when Kevin wasn't looking...

I managed to get some photos of Roger last night, the big white french horse who's so very ticklish and beautiful ! so you can see just how big his head is, its nearly as big as me put together, but i really love this horse and would love to ride him.. kevin said id look like a pea sitting on him.........:) so ill keep pestering of course til he lets me..whats wrong with a pea riding a horse !
If you tickle under his main he lowers his head right down and tilts it, his top lip comes out like Elvis and quivers like mad, i cant help but fall about laughing, ive never seen anything like him..

I'm riding Pip for the dressage event so very happy about that, hes small but lovely, if it was Billy or Jack id be panicking big time and have major league sore legs as much of it is all controlled by legs, without needing the reins, its scored on points and you need so many to pass (130 which ill get nowhere near of course) but whatever the outcome, at least i had a go.
Some of the girls have been practising for months and muggins here leaves everything til last minute again. I need to set up the garden with the same layout as the arena AKEHCJHF (i hope ive got that right, if not please help!) and run around looking like a loony pretending im a horse ! lol
My fellas threatening to video it and put it on YouTube... so ill wait til every ones asleep and get up extra early. nobody gets up early here except me and the birds so 5 am ill be giving the birds a comedy show for a change...lol

My fella wanted to come along and watch (that's a first!) but i didn't really want him to..

I'm pretty nervous and will probably mess it up even worse if i know I'm being watched, especially as he hasnt seen me ride since my first lesson at Kimblewick.. lol I like putting him through the hours of conversation after each lesson to tell him all about it anyway, why spoil that fun...hehe

I'm doing this competition for me, so want to go it alone ..

Im nervous but also very excited at the same time..

Anyway its time for a bath and a cuppa, we're working tonight so its another long one ahead and i thought it may wake me up a bit more.

No rest for the wicked eh ! whatever did i do in my past life? I hope it was good ! lol

Have a great evening everyone.
