Weekends

Well we got through the week somehow! To say it was manic is an understatement.
Things didn't go according to plan as my fella came back with the kids and his sister, he said he felt it was better for her to cut all ties back there. So we have spent the week sleeping on the sofa so they could have our bed. Some things have alarmed me, but we're doing everything we can to help the kids.
They have now all been placed into temporary housing together, its clean and just up the road from us so we can help. Hopefully then after a period of time they will find them permanent housing.
The week was pretty stressful and I was knackered by the lack of sleep and his sisters constant loud voice..lol We don't live like that here, we may have a busy house, but its also calm, she needs to learn a thing or two from her brother. Even my kids hid up!
We didn't get any work done all week, so this week we have lots to catch up on. As well as sort out a school for the kids and doctors etc.

Halloween

Its been a strange couple of weeks, ive hardly seen my fella as his work has taken him away from home quite a bit, by the time weekends get here we are both too tired to do anything so its just been a 'get through period of our lives'.

Last week my eldest was struck down with swine flue so it meant a week of being shut indoors with the triplets all having to stay off school too. I dont think they minded that much though as it meant half term in our house started a week early !

I can say whole heartedly i am so looking forward to next week and them all going back to school, ive been trying to keep them entertained so started to decorate the first bedroom which is the boys, but it was a bigger job than i had antisipated and im still not finished.. theres clothes all along the upstairs hall and paint tubs all around my bathroom...

I understand where they were coming from now when they say a womans work is never done ~ thats so true.

It was amusing though to give 3 kids a 5 litre tin of undercoat and say get on with it, they certainly had a good go.

I did manage to get to riding Monday which was lovely, Phil decided he would make me look like Noddy for a night so along with 3 huge other horses and their riders i was allocated a pony ! yep.. To say i felt embarrassed was an understatement, im small but this little one was tiny, i felt so mean and thought id squash her.

The reason was explained to me though as this little pony used to be used by the kids in classes and has such a free spirit, she takes off at night and escapes the stables (several times) she just decides shes going for a walk and is then usually found miles away, she was also showing her wilder side in the kids classes and was bolting off, leaving the kids either on the floor or scared stupid, so the poor thing isnt being used in their schooling at the moment.

As i was small they asked if i would ride her in my class to gently break her back in as she hadnt been rode for 6 months, if she starts getting used to it again the kids will be able to smother her with love and affection and have her back in their classes, we know shes always everyones favourite because of her character, so i went along with it..

To say she gave me the ride of my life was an understatement!

I have never been that fast on a horse/pony in my life.. my exact words as they told me to canter her round, i cannot say here but lets just say i was swearing rather loudly and laughing my head off ! She was like a mad thing and didnt want to stop! her ears and head were way up and she seemed to really be enjoy herself ~ so was i if im honest.

I went home smiling and although everyone was giggling about it i went to sleep happy.

I get days like that where you just want to run and keep going as fast as you can, it just goes to show it doesnt matter about your size, its whats inside that spirit that allows you do the things you love, isnt it? I hope i get her again, i dont care that we looked like Noddy and Big Ears in with a group of giants, between us we both had a great time and i think ive got over my phobia of not liking to ride the little horses.. she showed me just how much fun ive been missing..

Tonight as its halloween and all the kids are well and happy we are going out trick or treating. Every year my lot all dress up and get so excited, so this week i got them all brilliant costumes and will join in with the fun.Last years mistake of jumping out wearing a witch costume when someone knocked on my door wont happen again (it was one poor little girl standing there all on her own) who i managed to scare the crap out of, she was running down my drive screaming for her mother, who by that time was in hysterics laughing her head off (that was so cruel i know) it must be a mum thing.

But i didnt know she was on her own i promise! all night the local kids were banging on the door and winding me up as much as possible with eggs, so i just thought it was be amusing to give some halloween sprit back.. god did that backfire on that poor little girl.. I bet she wont be back this year!

Im making toffee apples with my fella this afternoon, so have to pay a visit to tescos for some sugar and apples. I'll post the photos of tonight, cook a nice meal and enjoy a night of ghostly festives with the kids...

It will all stop at 8pm anyway here as its X Factor night.. and its my time.......

Never too old to learn

Its Friday already! my word this weeks flown by..

The boys are coming home today! i cant believe im saying this but i dont like a quiet house. lol

I keep walking round tidying up things that are already tidy, it feels really strange, im really looking forward to them coming home, the only part im not looking forward to is driving out to collect them! im so useless with directions my fellas shown me twice now and i bet i get lost again...

Hes in Yarmouth today starting his 4 day physical course, we have spent every night sitting here til gone 3am trying to get through the paperwork, im so glad im not at school anymore, 500 words on this and 350 on that, it takes as long to sit there counting the words as it does to think of what to write :) But he got offered the chance to do this from a friend and its a good thing to do and know, so why not!

Last night we both hit a brick wall, we were both so tired, so when 8 0 clock hit we turned off the laptops, we spent a couple of hours watching a movie with Lauren talking all the way through it before all falling alseep in a heap on the sofa..lol

Shes been a little gem this week though and has more than supported her mum and dad, she was even reading his books to learn it herself!weve done lots of little things together too which has been lovely, ive really enjoyed our time together, so after packing today will make a load of cakes as she wants to do and prepare for the onslaught of hungry brothers.. I felt so sorry for her when we dropped the boys off, its so beautiful there and overlooks a lake, the sun was out and i felt my heart sink for her, shes never had a holiday but she hasnt moaned once, ive learnt that shes just as scared of the dark as me and that she feels some security from having 3 brothers that she doesnt like, as theres always at least one upstairs playing on the X box when she doesnt want to be upstairs on her own.. see they do come in handy Lauren !

Its strange but ive really missed my fella this week too, i havent really seen him at all, no kids no fella and a tidy house! when theres noone to mess it up for me i get bored ! lol

This weekend were not doing anything good as my fella is working on this course til Tuesday so its me and the kids and endless camping tales i guess.....lol

I missed my salsa last night but he couldnt do this course without doing all the written work, and as i discovered it wasnt easy, its for an A level so important to get it right..

Who says you're too old to learn? needs to come and meet my fella...

Hes definately A standard in our eyes..

Breakfast at Hogwarts

God I'm gonna go nuts if i have to hear Harry Potter anymore this morning..lol I know they want to go see it and yes i know it starts today at the cinemas, they do make me giggle sometimes don't they realise that each time they just mention it, I'm getting told x 4 !

Yes i will see what i can do, id like to see it too...

This morning was eggs all round ! every morning the kids choose what they want for breakfast, I'm trying to get them more sociable in the mornings (unlike dad i heard you all say) hehe

So they sit up the table and talk about the day ahead so for the last few days ive been getting up at silly O clock and preparing breakfast, i had to boil a dozen eggs this morning and then they asked for more! what is my food bill going to be like here, we are lucky in respects my fella cooks amazingly well so between us we manage to come up with some lovely meals, but dont buy convenience foods, its cheaper to buy a joint of meat and cook fresh its also much healthier..

My fella sadly didn't find the time to salsa with me last night, he was working and engrossed, so i decided to trash the kitchen and bake all night! i havent done that in a while but I'm glad i did, it was very therapeutic and looking at the tubs of cakes in there now it was worthwhile, i was bored but didn't want to work so decided to do something different.

Today ive got packing to get through first then its down to the high school for more forms and to collect the new uniforms... ill be paying a visit to the bank on the way of course...

with a nice black balaclava and water pistol and putting it down to having triplets.........lol

Thoughts that count

We went out Friday to meet up with friends after work had a swim, a meal and spent the evening having a great time, everyone was there so it was a real giggle, i look so forward to weekends now, but still cant wait for spring..lol

My sister Denise and Jade also came to see me again with Lacey , it seems to be happening every week now, i don't live out of my family's pocket but really appreciate when we do meet up, i gave her a huge hug, that i have been meaning to do for ages...

So its been a really good weekend, a little windy admittedly, so we couldn't sadly ride Saturday, but we made up for it and had a really nice couple of days..

I did my friends hair Saturday instead of riding which took me 3 hours bless, shes been feeling a bit low so i decided id give her a makeover.. i dyed her hair & restyled it, had some fun with different colour make up, gave her eyelash and eyebrow tints , which was great fun for me although id only left myself about 5 mins to get everything prepared for the evening, and i had made such a mess ..lol but she looked like a new pin , i got such a good feeling knowing id done something to make her feel better, she looked great ...

Dayle came up again Saturday night, he is really coming out of his shell, we had some gifts in our shed that we had brought but sadly never got to give, the kids unbeknown to me went in and opened one.... i was a bit upset (as they were gifts )but kids being kids they just wanted to play it, me and my fella both looked at each other but my fella smiled and cleared the table to play.. hes definitely not very sentimental is he............lol

We sat up til 3am Sunday morning playing games, all the kids were still up and so excited as its the latest they have ever been allowed up, but the night was totally brilliant and my first taste at my family working as one... Dayle has already brought something to us, i love him to bits, hes already trying to sort my hair out and chop it off , so I'm enjoying being rebellious by telling him i want to be a rock babe with hair that looks like its been dragged through a hedge, my fella would hit the roof if i chopped it off ...lol Im just so pleased hes come into our life, i look forward to Saturdays now as much as my fella does, the kids love him and thankfully he likes being the oldest brother....

I woke up mothers day to a bomb site for a house... but in my kids wonderful eyes... mothers day was my special day, so mum will clean it all and just be happier all day with it............. I love their logic and couldn't help but smile, innocence is so wonderful sometimes...

The biggest smile ive had for some time came from callum, he had collected little flowers for me mothers day and sprayed them with my favourite bottle of perfume (thats now empty! hehe) he even made a little box for them.. how sweet was that, but guess where he hid it ?

Under the toilet................................hehehe

I sat in the bath listening to the radio and i could see this little pink box squished under , i was really praying it wasn't a cake ! ....

So I'm now having to shove petals down my bra to smell nice, but at least the thought was definitely there.......bless

Things that go bump in the night

I went to bed last night and the strangest thing happened, my fella is now convinced theres someone in my house..lol

For the last 2 nights ive been woken up by the floorboards creaking upstairs, its creapy as i keep thinking the kids are out of bed as Brandon is prone to sleepwalking and often goes wandering downstairs still asleep, he even scares the dogs as he screams when he gets to the bottom of the hall.. we are more used to it now so any movement upstairs and i just wake up automatically... its a mums thing..

Well last night i was just about to fall asleep and he appears in the doorway again, he looks awake so i took him back to his bed give him a reasuring hug, and tucked him up, he soon drifted back off, so couldnt have been fully awake.. but about half an hour later the floorboards start again, so out of bed i get ! to see nothing....... the kids were all sound asleep?

It was just as if someone was walking about around us , it must have been loud as my fella woke too...

So he gets up when the noise was there and loud, peeks round the corner into the boys room and said they were both still sound asleep.. yet he could still hear the noises from that room just couldnt see anything? .......lol

So he then decides to hide up in the bathroom to see if it is the kids, waits til it starts again and then pounces out like a mad thing... (i wish id have had a camera handy)

to a room of nothing .... the kids were out for the count... but the footsteps were there in that room ?

...... I really dont know what to make of this one, as there is no rational explantion for it...i could understand if a window was open somewhere as the wind could cause a draft, but not one that moves the floorboards like feet and stops and starts when you look...lol

An hour passes, non of us could settle so my partner goes downstairs and sleeps on the sofa..lol leaving me upstairs with the duvet over my head hiding up all night .....lol

It was creaking randomly all night, yet as soon as i moved it stops, my sister is convinced i have a ghost in my house, always has been (claims to have seen him a few times too) and today is giggling about our story saying she told me so..

As a child i read The diary of Anne Frank, so tonight im going up into our attic just to double check noones living up there secretly.. last night was beyond explanation ..no i wasnt under the influence either ! although i maybe tonight though if it continues...lol

So ive either got extremely talleted kids that can play act perfectly and are really throwing a party once im asleep, or moving floorboards that stop when i look..

Can anyone explain this one to me ? lol

Notes

The weeks flying by its thursday already...

Yesterday was a bit of a hard one my packer couldnt come in and as she was ill tuesday im doing her job this week too, im hoping shes back today so i can put the new gear into the website, its all ready and photoed i just didnt have any extra time..

I had to giggle last night as we were asked to go to the school band night, my daughter was playing her violin in the orchester so we had to go, but when we got there it was all carol singing...lol my fella wasnt too impressed

So i started to sing and that where it all went wrong, i turned to find him looking at me and went the brightest shade of red imaginable, how can i go red with a guy ive been with for an eternity?

I just couldnt sing........ yet ive been to chant and sung my head off without feeling embarrased....lol so ive now worked out that i was more comfortable there than i am in a school with my fella, he finds it amusing but im completely puzzled by that one, he sneaked off halfway through to go get the boys and i was fine, but i sing around the house constantly, so why did i feel so stupid.......

I have always had a real confidence problem with singing in public, ive been trying to put it behind me and have a giggle which i thought was working, yet last night i didnt have the confidence to let any notes out at all, and sat there like a beetroot......oops

Weekend break

Its been a brilliant morning..... what a way to wake up.. ive been with Lauren to our photo shoot on the horses........... i don't know who was more excited her or me, i was up at 5am and watching the clock............lol

The horses behaved so well for us, even if it was normally their day off, i fed them polos, gave them a huge kiss and hoped that made up for it...

We did trotting, cantering and jumping with the photographer not threatening to quit...he was smiling away, so thats a first, and i get to keep my head.......hehe

I also got to dress up along with my horses with tinsell witches hats and giant rabbits.. so it was a real giggle, riding Sorrel wearing red devils antlers...... lol

I got to ride bare back with Lauren sitting on the horse with me too, so that mum and daughter bond is getting stronger by the day now, we were giggling so much as she held the leads on my horse as she is only used to a pony, so when Sorrel put his head down she went flying over his head, kicking me in the ribs on the way over..lol

youll all get to see the photos next week complete with boot marks..........lol

Its been such a really lovely weekend, but ive only now got just over an hour to prepare the house and kids before we leave for Paris..........

I was so deep in thought last night in bed,i couldnt sleep, its the simplest things that make me feel happy, and this weekend doing simple things has really made me feel like a different person... the one i used to be....

So although travelling to Paris worries me alot, because of driving there and back safely,(they drive like looneys) so if i do happen to get my calling today ........... at least you all know i went smiling............ lol

I even managed to get all my work done ! yes im up to date with everything ....(i cant quite believe it either) lol

So from tuesady its normal hours, and so much more of this lovely simple stuff.......

Im going to sit under a snow machine next week and stroke a reindeer.............hehe

Bonfires and Bangers

We went out tonight and took the kids to Corpusty for their local bonfire and firework celebration....

We had a totally brilliant night.. the kids really enjoyed it and i was really pleased it hadn't changed from the last time we were there..

It starts off with the locals all dressing up taking the guy and a parade all round the village, most of the people were outside the pub all enjoying the character of the night, everyone seemed so friendly..

There was a guy playing his guitar singing brilliantly through huge speakers to the dancing town centre so i had a dance with the kids on the green and one by one we went through the hot dog and jacket potato stands..lol they certainly know how to throw a party there, it was one of the best bonfire nights ive ever had..

Theres non of this pay on the gate lark, you just put into a collection pot whatever you can afford so families are encouraged there,as you don't need a mortgage to get in, not like some of the big displays where they charge you per adult or child, ive been to these displays and just like they have done to Xmas they have taken the fun away from what we originally celebrated and over commercialised everything... this is what its all about, everyone joining in and celebrating together, my kids were playing with the locals and in their elements...

We were joined by our friends as they phoned to see where we were going ,so came with us to see if it really was as good as we remembered, the verdict was unanimous... it was .....

The fireworks were the best ive ever seen and the funny guy on the mike went to town as they were in full display and had everyone cracking up, it was just lovely and like stepping back into time...

I took my camera and watched my sons face drop as he really did believe the guy was a real man who the village were setting fire to.....lol (well he is small and i do use the word guy ) but after he knew he seemed to really enjoy his night, i couldn't work out why he was so quiet to start with...

I have to be up early tomorrow, i have to be ready for the riding photos by 9.15 (which is not going to be easy getting my daughter out of bed and dressed to ride..lol but all that fresh air has worn me out so im going to enjoy the rest of those fireworks from my bedroom tonight...

So next year for any of you that live close enough to Norfolk, check it out..it really is something special.. especially if you love getting into the true spirit of things....

I was mesmerised by the grand finale.. it looked like a meteor shower raining down on us and lit up the sky in the most breathtaking gold waterfall, the best bit about sitting round that huge fire for me was watching the flames light up a pitch black clear sky to show me all those huge smiles my kids were hiding, some moments are priceless and tonight was way up there.......

On the Ball

I'm a bit tired today, it was a late night..and no brandy.........

I tried to get the jeans in but there is a small problem, so im working on that today... meanwhile ive got it all ready to roll so it was a good nights work...

I ended up going to bed with a head whirling round so went to sleep to a chill out album, which seemed to work thankfully...

Its been the usual manic start today, the kids all demanding mum do this and that, one needed packed lunch that i was told 2 Min's before he had to leave.. and my eldest is doing cooking today so was throwing fits round the kitchen as i giggled at him... lol ...

I made the mistake of bursting out laughing when he said he was cooking salad ! (hehe) it would be a bit limp ! so im back in that doghouse again.... and 'whatever' was the last word before he left.... which brings to mind Kevin & perry, my sons just like that.......lol

My daughter has gone to school with ready break in her hair and wont let me plait it, as they were arguing over who wanted their breakfast first as usual, and the box split..... so if you see 4 kids walking up te road looking like they've all got out of bed the wrong way.....yep they're mine..........lol

Im going in an hour behind Estelle today, im having a shower (cleaning up ready break) and something to eat, as we don't seem to be doing much of that lately and as i have a stomach ache from hell so eating may help.......

anyway no rest for the wicked and im defiantly that today according to my tribe...... strange thing is I'm really quite happy this morning, and am looking forward to the day.......

I did well last night so am pleased now that ive got a little in front, i may not be able to load at the moment but that's the easy part and according to my fella i can do that while he sleeps......lol

School Holidays

Its Monday...lol the start of another busy week....

I have a mountain of things to get through in 2 days, ordered uniforms to collect for the triplets and my eldest has a list of odds and ends he needs, thankfully i did go and get everything he needs to wear, and thought i had the other 3 sorted out, until the school decided to change from a middle school to a Junior one...lol ......

Its been a really hard 6 weeks, I'm sure other mums will agree its far too long for a holiday the kids get bored and look on us as the entertainers, which is pretty hard when you have to work...

I look on it as Ive survived but there has been times when i could quite happily have pulled my hair out, one was a doddle, but with triplets on top it tends to make that see saw a bit uneven especially when they are nothing like each other..lol

Ive done the hair cuts (no not a basin job.. i am fully qualified to cut hair..lol) and must do a good job as i seem to have to cut every ones hair from around here, yet mine is a mess..lol

Ive got Julie leaving for holiday this week and a full stock room ready to list in a new website that happens today, so it should be an interesting week..lol

Im sad to say i had a huge row with my partner last night, we don't ever argue he seems to read me well and doesn't bring out my worst side, it was my smallest boy that started it off, hes been a real pain and started again last night, all i heard was screaming and thought my fella was killing him, instead of tucking him up so up i go in a rage catapult my partner across the room and grew my horns lol...oops I am pretty calm but when i lose it, i lose it with style..lol

What really happened was my eldest son took away Brandon's game boy, that id already confiscated, and the screaming was him throwing yet again another tantrum, my fella was trying to calm him down.. so im in the dog house today, but he did giggle the fact that i will stick up for my loved ones regardless, even when i don't for myself sometimes.......lol

so Ive got up and apologised at least a dozen times and hope if he reads this hell know i am really sorry for not reading the situation well enough, Brandon loves to put a gap in between us and up til now Ive never allowed it to happen, i honestly thought he had pushed my fella too far. he certainly does me most times....

I went to bed to have a letter left on my pillow from my eldest saying he doesn't want his mum and dad to split up, they have never seen us argue as we never do, so I'm putting last night down to me and will learn from that one..........

I'm going to work today, but my fella has taken a day off, to sit and talk to the kids together so they know every things OK, its not good for children to hear parents argue it really unsettles them, my last memories of my real father at home, were with my mum throwing a carving knife at him christmas morning.......... so if that's the only argument we have for another 10 years it would be one too many.......................

perhaps the holidays came to a head, and if any teachers are reading this please appreciate you wont get anyone much more patient than us two, so if you think you've had a hard 6 weeks marking books, don't tell me this morning, or you ll get a flea in your ear...........

I'm eating humble pie all day for meals sitting in the doghouse and will have a serious talk to my little boy tonight...

French Tart

Its nearly the weekend, were getting through the week.....lol

Kids make me giggle sometimes, i promised i would spend at least 2 days a week after work cooking and teaching them pastries and cakes (that's my speciality)..lol my fella has to do the same with meats so i got the good part.. all those lovely calories....

I haven't been well this week, but they wont let me get away with it that lightly, so when i got home today i had to swap wanting to go to bed, with a cookery course...

I have never seen so much mess making quiches and tarts, its everywhere....lol

But as promised i have taken a photo of one of the quiches (it looks almost edible too lol)

So im having a 5 min break to write this while they argue about which pie base is theirs armed with jam and spoons dripping strawberries all round the kitchen... god tomorrow its sponge cakes and butter cream so that should be fun... not ... lol

I must say though they've really enjoyed it, and didn't argue quite as much as usual, but they also get to know what we do with those herbs and vegetables we have been growing, so I'm happy Ive managed to do the work bit today and keep this lot amused and still have some hair left ....

I'm stealing my fellas car this weekend and taking them down to the beach so hopefully that will blackmail them enough to be good for me tomorrow, and we've completed week one without complications... 5 more to go..........................

I much prefer dirty dancing to cooking though... so ill try that later when they've gone to bed...lol

growing pains

Lol .... god i know its the start of the holidays alright...

So far today the triplets went out to play got bullied again, thrown in a puddle so are now having to stay indoors until my eldest gets back from holiday, as noone messes with him, thanks to kickboxing....lol

Im struggling to get the website back up as the servers a mess so ive been all morning shouting at those responsible..lol so it looks like ill be working most of the night as i cant get it done until its back up...

So ive been using the time and getting some bits organised to keep the kids entertained... theyve chose mums gardening first ..lol only because i have some strange plants to grow......

Laurens got a venus fly trap and a hooded executioners plant..

Brandons got a cobra lily and a dracula plant...

and Callums got a waterslide of doom and draculas tongue.... you see i do love to give the kids interlectual things to learn...lol please remember i do have strange kids ....

So tomorrow (thanks to my sister) im outta here and in my unit, its the first day of the school holidays and i can already see its not going to be easy....

The headsets out already..... im trying to work and not listen to the arguments in the backround and pray today gets better...........

Kids

Was up with the birds early today, the sun was beaming in so i thought id get up extra early and enjoy it.... lol

Its been a manic day today, fun but manic....

Ive been sorting out an insurance claim on top of the normal work... and i had a list of mum duties to do ...why do my kids always seem to have these things at the same time ...lol ... they do everytime.....

I have cooking lessons for one with no warning i had to come up with all the ingredients she needs to make cakes, where kids think you can magic cake decorations from is beyond me so ive been cutting flowers out of marzipan trying to look organised (not at all) lol....

The second is off to play korfball at the uea and needs packed luch and a list of extra needs..
the third is doing a viking day and wants me to sew a viking costume it will only take 2 mins acording to him.. yes but my machines are at the unit not at home !! lol

and last but not least Ryan is going to the tower of london for a day out with the school.... lol 6.30 start ...

I havent had one letter ??????? must be arriving by royal mail i guess ....lol

they are usually in the drawers at school along with last terms ones they never brought home... folded up as paper planes i bet... lol

Tonight im supposed to do photos.... someone please tell me why was i nuts enough to get up at 5 why didnt i just stay in bed like a normal person......lol

At least i can say I never get bored.... i wouldnt have time too ! lol...........

Ive done what they've all asked now its my turn for my time out, im off for a tan and a shower....
