Spring in My Stride

We've had a brilliant weekend, I didn't sadly get to do the photos Saturday as i couldn't get my fella up early enough before he went out shooting, but i did more than make up for that Sunday, my god did we work hard ! i went to sleep so proud of what id done and overslept Monday..lol

Ive replaced some of the photos that were in the site already as i didn't feel good when i did them, which showed on the images so as we were on a roll Sunday i redid those too, the result has been brilliant I'm packing for England and couldn't find time yesterday to get the new samples in... its swings and roundabouts, so today I'm not posting, ill do that tonight after salsa and start filling up with fresh stock again, i get so excited when I'm making it look nice.

I had forgotten how much i enjoy doing the photos, i got tea made from Lauren in between garments and ended up doing more in a day than id normally be capable of in a week, so today the fun starts again.. its the start of a very busy week and I'm rearing to go......

Last night was riding again, what a blast , Kevin put me on Dolly who's a very big but beautifully well mannered white horse, she was behaving so nicely for me and i managed to stand up ! I even got my transition right for canter but still have legs that go off on one in the wrong way...but i came home on a high as usual, I ache in some strange places this morning but its doing me good. im toning up and feeling in the best shape Ive felt in a long while, I'm sure its because the suns been shining..lol

We've got it all to look forward to now, spring is on its way, followed by hopefully a warm summer and plenty of nights out salsaing the summer nights away, ive been on Richards site as usual for my morning tea wake up hour and ended up trying to do rueda moves in my dressing gown, the kids all believe mums nuts , but for some reason my house feels so happy now..

Or is it because I am ?

My fella went out yesterday and came home with the sexiest underwear sets for me, so its obviously not just me feeling better.............lol

Bring on that sunshine. I feel like im blooming into life...................

Warmth

What a beautiful day to wake up to.. The suns shining and the birds are in full swing singing away, Ive been waking up in the best possible way and am full of smile this morning..
We had a meal with our friends last night (thank you x) and got to do some rueda which was brilliant fun, so i expect to be thrown around the lounge during photos today as im dying to see if he can remember the moves..

Its amazing what the sun does to you just that little sneak of the daffodils all trying to peek through to see if springs arrived, im feeling so happy this morning..

I did try and wake my fella up early to make the start i hoped, but Mr Travolta isnt budging yet, two cups of tea later and hes still 'waking up !' ive been up there slung open the windows to let the fresh air help me out and all he does is pull the douvet up higher over his head....hehe

Today is photo day, its been a while since ive done any at my place but the gardens looking good considering what mother nature threw at us and im hopeful ill get to torment the photographer as i go along, hes going clay pigeon shooting later with Jane from salsa so i have to work quick today ... try telling him that !

Anyway time for another cuppa and then if i cant wake him up im getting out that tripod..

No rest for the wicked today, and wicked feels my sense of humour this morning, thanks to a brilliant night out with our friends..

Dont You Remember

What a week its been, It was riding monday with Kevin and the girls, my word i knew id been sitting on that saddle for two hours...lol

He was getting us to do stuff we havent done before like trotting round on our horses standing up !! its harder than it looks but the lesson was such a great one, I love the group hes put me with we all have a giggle and torment him throughout the class, it also gives me something to work at as these guys are all so much more better than me at riding, so it pushes me on to do stuff i wouldnt normally get the chance to do, im really pleased with the way im progressing and always wake up mondays jumping out of bed, well it makes so much difference when you know youre looking forward to the day to come...

Ive been working on samples all week which had made the week fly by again, the custmers seem to love them so although its more work just listing ones its also interesting for me, so guess what im doing again this week..lol

Last night it was dancing our cuban salsa time, i seem to get worse now every week talk about look forward to Thursdays, the best part is were getting to do this twice a week from next week too! I cant wait..... Sharon and Richard are doing another class on Tuesdays so guess who put her name down for that one..hehe its not just me I know half of our class are also going along, its going to be in acle so for any of you guys that want to try/or already know some salsa that live nearby or in Yarmouth come along and join in the fun... you wont be dissapointed..

Last night Sharon worked on tapping and on getting the women to use their hips to really bring to life the movements, I have to giggle to myself when anyone mentions hips, what the hells happened to mine, im sure im smaller? im getting wise as im now sticking on long tops (baggy ones) with big hip belts over to try and make it look like i have a little part sticking out there, but for whatever i lack in curves ill definately try hard..

We did the normal class last night and then Richard bless decided it was time for 'here come the girls' time and he stuck on two regaetton tracks, that stuffs addictive ! theres not a face in the place without a beaming smile and the guys dont seem to mind either................lol

Richards made my week complete and has given me that track i was after ' Dont you remember' so i gave myself a little treat and bought myself a brand new mp3 player, its a samsung one and sounds unbelievably wicked, so track no one is now that followed by all my favourites that ill be wiggling away to throughout the day, if ive got music in my day im always happy, so to get that song thats been going through my head all week is brilliant, theres something about it that brings out my fun head and i just cant help myself when i hear it.......

As usual i took my camera last night so theres plenty of shots to show you what you're all missing..

Tonight were off to our friends house for 'meals on wheels' and of course salsa dancing thrown in somewhere through the night so im taking it easy today and just doing what i have to, blaming royal mail for the slow service today.................hehe

Tomorrow i start photos again, which im greatly looking forward to.. its gonna be a brilliant weekend......... I just know............

Always Havana Giggle

OMG am i on such a high today.... Not only did we get that beautiful snow yesterday (yes i did play snowballs with the kids) we had another of those unforgettable nights out to top the day off...

It was Salsaaaaaaaaaaaa and my favourite day of the week, it seems to be coming round so quick now..

Week by week we are striking up amazing friendships with people and i can honestly say ive never felt so good..

I made an exception last night and took my daugher with us for once, she argues with her brothers so we wanted to show her how much we enjoy oursleves when we go dancing so she got to see mum and dad at their happiest, salsaing the night away with Sharon Richard and all our friends there.. its worked too as she told her brothers that she doesnt want to make us come home so wont argue as the place was totally out of this world ! bless she loved it..

The roads were pretty bad as the snow was falling heavy, but although its cold its also breathtakingly beautiful driving through the dark roads with huge white snow drops falling all around us, im such a big kid at heart..I find the strangest things wonderful..lol

The night just got better and better, the hardened salsa addicts were all there braving the weather so the night was brilliant, you wouldnt never have thought it was middle of the winter at the Staithe i was standing out in the snow trying to cool off.....hehe

Rueda was the best yet with me and steve trying to keep up with Sharon and Richards amazing moves, i end up laughing so much i forget what im supposed to be doing, but at one point in the rueda i was facing Richard trying to do rumba and keep a straight face as i couldnt remember which hand was doing what so kinda got it completely wrong, and was then moved straight into sharon doing reggaetton ! my crazy arms and legs were waving around like loonies so i must have looked like a turkey being strangled not sexy as its suposed to be... i just burst into fits of giggles as i couldnt remember what part i was supposed to be wiggling so just did the lot at once like a mad person throwing a fit...lol

Lauren took pictures throughout the night so im posting what was there that had heads on! lol

I went to sleep with one track stuck in my head all night and have spent half the day trying to find out what it is? can anyone help (please).. all i know is i had one hell of a dance to it with my fella as he loved it as much as me so we need to get that track! hehe the chorus goes 'dont you remember what you told me' and boy is that song now my favourite !! lol

As you all know its valentines tomorrow and usually ill drop subtle hints for chocolate i never get to eat (the kids all eat it and leave the wrappers there) so i never get a look in, so this year we are doing something different just for us..

Its totally mad as you would expect..lol ive bought my fella a gift this year that should just make the night special and one to remember.....

La Cuba Ritmo

Yesterday was such a great day.......

I spent the afternoon practising with my fella as he keeps throwing new moves at me,we were only going to do an hours practising but ended up having such fun it went on for most of the afternoon.. I was knackered before i went out.. lol

I came to a point with my dancing where i was feeling really frustrated with myself, I let my head and hang ups hold me back, Yesterday helped me so much with that side..even down to those little things , its really helped..

Since we started dancing and having the salsa lessons i felt like id stepped into something good, but i dont feel like that today, i feel like im part of something really very special not just good..

Last night we all went down to 'The Talk' to see one of the hottest cuban bands perform live 'La Cuba Ritmo' My god the night was brilliant, I came out of that place so happy it was untrue, even wiggling up the road to the car...........
We were part of the dancecuban family (thats what we are! ) friends of ours that make you feel like your'e part of one big family.............It really is a special feeling, everyone in the group wants to be there, we are all as excited about whats to come as each other and we all get on so well, its always such a giggle.. but its all down to 2 people, these people have added so much to our lives its untrue............Sharon and Richard........
I cant say enough how much these guys have given us and mean to me, Sharons bringing back my confidence week by week that i thought id lost, Richards turned my fella not just into my dream guy, as he didnt believe he could dance a step before,but also helps me, and last night we danced together where everything just slotted into place perfectly.. I wish to god i could have captured that moment on film...

I enjoyed that dance so much, the feelings still with me today..It was my first thought of the day and brought something special into my house this morning....lol

Its not just about the steps is it? You guys have taught us that through your passion, its being able to feel totally uninhibited on that floor and enjoying every beat, by just doing what feels natural its bringing out the best in each other.. in the most special way..

The band was amazing and the best live act ive ever seen, the music felt like it was going right through me..

My fella loves to dance with everyone from our group which is brilliant as watching them all smile seeing everyone so happy is such a great feeling, we all take turns to dance and wish there was more men sometimes but its not about how many dances you have, its about enjoying the ones you get ! (well thats my philosophy anyway) he was frustrated he couldnt get round to dancing with everyone, but for anyone he missed out on, im sure they'll be the first on that list Thursday..lol.. I had the most amazing 'Son' Dance with Max, it felt like id drunk twice the vodka i had when i walked off that floor,he was so smooth it really was magical..

I did take my camera, but this morning am giggling as theres not much on it, but thats down to enjoying my night (and yes quite a few vodkas)the night had only just started but once that band came on that was it,nobody worried about the camera.. but thats gotta be good right ..I know kevins got loads of photos, as i can remember him chasing us about on the dance floor with his camera.. so pass them over then Kevin!! lol

Today i cant be motivated to work ive done enough this week and am taking weekends off from now on, so im chilling with the kids as afterall it is Sunday, ive made giant papier machier hearts for their science homework which has devastated my kitchen (but great fun to do) so i intend painting them this afternoon and making a bit more before i start on that housework..what the hell i'll cope with the mess today and it will get done eventually, i want this weekend to stay exactly as its been..One of the best and certainly one for my armchair ...

Richard, Sharon, Penny, Jayne, Zenda, David, Roses and all you fun people out there, you've given me so much to look forward to..

So this weekend the smiles down to you lot...

25 Random things about me

1. I thrive on surprises and surprising people, theres no better feeling than doing something spontanious and exciting.


2. I really enjoy making something from nothing, anything to do with creating or making something look nice and im in my element.


3. Dancing has always been something ive loved but i always wanted a partner i could dance with and picked boyfriends that didnt dance, salsa has given me more than i ever hoped for and filled that wish.


4. I love peanut butter, lived on it as a child and never grew tired of the taste, ive sat here alone eating it giggling away trying not to lick my lips..


5. I always believed i looked like a boy and had no shape so wore baggy jumpers for years, i didnt own a skirt and had no self confidence whatsoever.


6. I love early mornings and late nights, i will be the one to try and burn the candle at every end.


7. If i have something on my mind i need to go off wandering , either down the beach or woods anywhere where i can look at the stars and have time with my thoughts alone feeling the wind through my hair.


8. I loved my bmz Z3 , my fella told me when i felt tired or i needed to find that drive i just had to look out of the window, she had to be sold when money was tight and i lied to myself when i said i didnt care.


9. I had a big white streak appear in my hair overnight , i cant wait til it spreads, i wont have to colour it then.


10. If i care about people ill go without to give to them and wouldnt think twice.


11. I always hoped that if you were a nice person people would treat you kindly, thats kicked me in the teeth several times recently, but i dont give up hope, I just keep looking forwards never backwards and walk away smiling when it happens.


12. Ive been told im really patient, I took time to grow and still am, so i dont mind things taking their time and am happy to wait.


13. I love housework and cleaning, if the musics on ill sing and potter the day away happily, I enjoy relaxing afterwards with all the candles lit and the room looking , smelling gorgeous


14. Riding has made me feel that i can do anything i set my mind to now, being able to get such a powerful creature to work with me shows respect of each other. Respect is never given only earnt..


15. Never went for men in uniforms or suits like most females, i went for the long haired guys who looked unkept and had wicked sense of humours and a carefree spirit, I find tataoo's on blokes strangely sexy (I hope my fella doesnt read this)


16. I believe truth and love are essential, so designed my slashed top with that printed in latin on the front, it made it personal to me.


17. I wouldnt want to wake up tomorrow without music in my life, it always puts me in the right frame of mind and can change my mood in an instant.


18. I love flowers , growing things and want to end up with the garden i dream about, with tropical plants, a waterfall and magical lighting.


19. Im a total romantic at heart but a dirty bitch in the bedroom.


20. My weaknesses are for things that smell lovely, bubbles, oils, candles and perfume, Jasmine / lillies are my favourite scents.


21. I think society has gone too far, we cant breathe or do anything without all the rules and regualtions so i constantly want to escape to my own deserted island and make it up as i go along.


22. I dont look back with regret but I move forward with experience, theres a few things id do on top of what ive done, none that id take away.


23. Last year really knocked my confidence and affected me badly, this year i hope to put that right and feel good again.


24. Friendship and love are the most important things in my life.

Sheltered

lol... Hes definately got the right idea today..

Watching the birds line up on the tree this morning made me giggle so much....

Usually they all manage to find somewhere to eat, as ive now got 5 bird tables (the kids keep making them for me) so my gardens surrounded by the local wildlife..

This morning however this rather amusing fella decides hes staying put and has set up camp..

Hes been out there about 3 hours now and although the tree keeps filling up with his mates all hoping to come to mine for lunch, hes not being very sociable and just sits there in comfort watching the snow..

Who said birds were stupid eh ! lol

Ive had to move the other boxes and fill them up so everyone doesnt go hungry out there...

Its horse riding later ! that should finish the day with a smile..

Animals are just as amusing as humans when we get that flutter of the white stuff...

I cant wait to see what the horses do...............
