Unwinding

Hello everyone, well its certainly been quite a day ! lol

Apart from being a lousy taxi service for my fella (i get very lost) ive managed to get to a level im happy at today so hopefully it will be a good weekend, weve got dancing thursday and the salsa boat this weekend! I cant wait......lol

Appologies to everyone whos been texting me today, my phone isnt working so if you get replies in the silly hours of the night you will know why.. either that or im drunk silly and having a moment....lol

Anyway my fellas launched today so i had to try and lend a hand, im not so keyed up on football but i know hes worked hard on this so ive made tea and answered the emails for him. its a relief really as i know its another thing thats completed but know he will never stop working like he does.......lol

Yesterday was Jo with her emotional head on, i worked til 4am and apart from my friends who were online too making me smile i didnt really do anything except work, i got accused of being a workaholic, but it was Neils anniversary yesterday so as i wasnt really up for partying it was a good way of keeping myself busy...

I opened my little present from sandra and boy didnt she make me smile, inside was a box of pink and white marshmellows, 4 sherbit fountains and one big bar of organic dark chocolate with peppermint centre..........lol bless, my fella giggled as he couldnt work out what she had wrapped, but she knows me so well, i was giggling away ............lol

It came in handy as i sat eating sherbit at 2am this morning to stay awake and have popped the rest away away for my next long night working, thats unless the kids spot it of course...lol

I wasnt down i was actually smiling most of the night thanks to my friends, its nice to know im not the only person out there that is online at odd hours.......I appreciated them so much...

Tonight im going to grab that bath ive been promising, forget the meal i was going to cook as everyones eaten already except me and im not really hungry today, so will carry on loading up the site...

ive been listening to radio Norfolk today (because my fella was doing his bit live!) poor guy... I could hear how nervous he was but thought he did himself proud... I couldnt have done that...lol especially with the way i talk.............oh dear...lol

But i enjoyed listening to the station its not one id usually pick, so may just leave it tuned in now for a while, since my headsets been broken im finding myself a little lost without it...........lol

Time for those bubbles...........its been a good one today.............

Hello everyone ! i cant even begin to say what sort of week im having , so ill just say its a wee bit hectic this end.......lol

I hope to start back to normality soon and pick up my blogging and life again, at the moment its all work and no play and i look like a bag lady !....... hehe

I havent been dancing this week or riding just working away quiety, my son has broke my headset so im without my music...... :(

I am saving some energy for Thursday though, its salsa with Sharon and Richard in Stalham, we are both up to our necks in work, but we are really looking forward to getting there...............

Steves project the Norwich City Kitty is finally being launched today !!!

This guy has worked his heart out on this and donated all his spare time into helping our local football team Norwich City, hes not only come up with the idea, but built a site thats second to none ....theres so much work gone into this i couldnt even begin to explain what hes done ...

The best bit.. simply by us all using it to search, blog, donate, or advertsise it will raise money for club transfers, and really help the team....
We all moan at the way our team cant hold onto players and cant have the ones we want, now its the fans turn to help and turn it into the club the fans deserve and are proud of...........

Every week they turn up at the gates to support their team and watch them play, just as every night my fella has sat up working tirelessly to get this off the ground and create a website that is user and search friendly, its been fully optimised and looks brilliant....
The official launch is today and with our help we can all really make this a success.....

Its never been done before, this is a totally new idea and a brilliant way to raise money, if all you do is search then please use the kitty to start from..

Theres lots of prizes to be had, many people are getting behind him on this and wishing him every success for Wednesday with the launch...........none more than me...............

Hard days night

Do you ever get one of those nights you never think you will get done and through it...

Im having one of those tonight!!

Im that tired i cant think straight, i have an un-invited elephant sitting inside my head again stropping about and i have to get done tonight..... so its typical...........

Steve's gone dancing bless, its the first time hes been in 12 days, he definitely had withdrawl symptoms..lol it made me giggle he was so excited to get there...

Dancing really has added so much to us, its something we can do together , but its brought so many smiles, at home were often trying to get the kids to bed so we can have a dance..lol it must sound like madness to our neighbours sometimes, but what the hell life's all about laughing and doing silly things , it makes you feel good ..

This week has been incredibly hard, even at our standards, ive been trying to get the stock ready to move, still packing and sending out orders and Sandra who helps me is on holiday for two weeks.... Although nobody deserves a holiday more in my eyes, ive never met anyone so caring as her... When i opened my wardrobe Monday there was a gift all beautifully wrapped with the words " Jo please open on the 26th " I hope it brings you a smile"...

I'm not often stuck for words but it did really hit, she remembers everything, its the anniversary of Neils death then and she knows i always try to find my smiles, so this year shes tried to make the difference.... how special was that.......... it was very special to me, i have no idea whats inside but already i know it will bring a smile....

I hate feeling down, but i do a little tonight, probably because i know i will be sitting here all night trying to get done and tomorrows not going to be any easier.. its times like now, i need my kids energy..or ten cans of red bull..lol Ive cooked the most unimaginable tea that nobody wanted and ended up overfeeding the dogs.... serves me right really they did offer to go get fish and chips..lol

Whats happened this week? well i went riding out on our last night hack Monday.. it was beautiful, i took Estelle with me and it made for a wonderful night, one horse fell over, bless as it was very muddy but there was something so special about being out there..

The wind was blowing really strong, but it was so warm, ive never been riding when a storm was blowing up but it was amazing, i rode Pip who never fails to disappoint, shes small but has so much inside, so between her and mother nature they gave me one hell of a smile to take home...

Friday i was working as a volunteer at the stables and was entertained all morning by Megan, shes such a friendly little thing, she doesn't like to go outside in the fields (she also escapes and wanders up the main road) lol so i was given the pony yard to muck out with her helping..lol

All morning what ever stable i was cleaning in she came with me..hehe its not easy trying to sweep and muck out with a white curious pony helping out, i had 8 to do in that block and every time i had finished one did she go in there and roll about all over the neatly laid straw... it made my day i was talking away to her and loved the company, she knew i had polos down my chaps so spent most of the time trying to eat my leg........lol

Saturday and Sunday i was totally useless... i woke not on top form at all, my fella had lovingly passed on to me his man flue bug so i wasn't feeling too good at all, i couldn't keep awake and even apologised for taking the mickey out of him for having man flue......lol

it really wasn't nice, i felt pretty rough so did the basics for the house and left the computer off all day, i didn't answer my emails and spent Monday apologising to everyone who had been patiently waiting for replies... I was lucky as everyone was really nice, but i cant believe id been caught by that man flue thing.. it really is worse than the women's one !! Ill humbly vouch for that one now... hehe

The rest of the week has been work, work, work, i haven't been dancing since Thursday and even then i wasn't feeling like myself , its not the same when my fellas not there, i really missed him... don't tell him though or he'll take me for granted....lol

So after the floods flues and just about everything else that's been going on this end i decided i wanted the work done and out of the way...i don't want to wake up knowing theres an endless list that i cant get to the bottom of (that happens with the washing basket here too) so Ive set myself goals to do every day so by the weekend ill be up to date and moved premises.. lol its not so easy to carry out though on your own.... in fact ive found out its near on impossible.....................lol

So tonight ive missed my dancing to try and get more dresses loaded up, cancelled riding tomorrow (i was doing a gymncana) and hopefully will eat enough sherbet while i work that ill find that little extra burst of energy to get this done....before the elephant decides to put me to bed...lol

Migraines should be banned, and my corner shop should also be served a ban....

For always hanging those sherbet things right where i can see them......(they are called outer spacers) and it just about sums it up for me tonight.............

I feel like I'm in outer space....... and looking at the big black hole that i need to fill this week....lol

Tomorrows another day i keep saying to myself..... if i don't stop blogging and get on it will be here sooner than i think...............lol

Im so thankful this morning, thankful the weather men were wrong and mother nature didnt bring us any more heavy rain last night.....

Yesterday could have been so much worse, the carpets are soaked but thankfully non of my stock was touched, last year i wasnt so lucky.........

Ive decided that although i love being up in the open, and listening to those birds while i work, i have to move the business now, i cant afford to take risks with my business, so im going to look for somewhere else, hopefully where i can still hear the trees and not feel hemmed in..........

My fella wasnt well at all last night, hes very grumpy too..lol all i could hear him saying was im never ill...lol we all are at some point, so i left him sleeping all night and spent some time with the kids talking about what good stuff they have planned for this week..........

I have help this week as sandra is in with them, so hopefully ill be able to sit and discuss where im going to move to, with my fella today and get those wheels in motion...

Its one of those things, i have to look at myself as being lucky yesterday, no damage was done, but i was warned that no matter what precautions have been made by us, they wont work...

My grandparents phoned last night bless, they were so worried, my grandad always says im the sister that does the work of the other 3 and he hates to see me struggle... but that is life, everyone goes through experiences and has bad luck, but theres always someone worse off........I dont look on yesterday as bad luck i looked on it as good....................... were ok.............

Today im starting to load up the new gear, im on a mission to get quite a bit done today, so the headsets charged up, im going to try and leave my fella in bed and get away from here early this morning.....

I also want to thank our friends yesterday for coming to help out...my fella wouldnt come and get me so i was concerned it was worse than he was saying, thankfully it wasnt but the fact i didnt ask and they just came, meant so much to both of us......... Thank You xxxx

Wet Through & flooded

Thankfully its not a river this time, just all my carpets.. so i guess that a positive thought..

What im not so happy about, is my landlord promised hed put drainage in to stop this from happening again and didnt ! so guess whos going to get one hell of a bad day today..........yep him...........

For us it looks like its going to be a long one ! were going to get very wet !
hes going to have to come home and get me so we can sort it out again !!

Blinking People......... dont trust them when they tell you everythings going to be alright and it was just a freak of nature.. it never is..............

Wet Ones

Oh my word, isnt it a beautiful day...lol
Its certainly put some life into my house this morning..lol
So far ive been flooded round the front door its been running up my hall and what once was a decking area now looks like a wonderful pond.. im just waiting for the ducks to make full use of it.. (i wouldnt actually mind that) hehe

I was going into work today on my own, but as my fellas not feeling so well ,i think my lost voice,hot sweats episode was a lovely bug, which ive now passed on to him.... oops
its been making me giggle though as he calls it man flue and of course has a much worse strain than i had.............hehe so im staying home and working today.. that way i can look after the kids and make sure they dont get fed crisps all day......... dads menu...lol

Half of my lot are now on their way to my unit, last year i was flooded out badly, i went into work one morning to 8 inches of local river flowing through my stockroom and offices, we thought we were insured but later found out that only half the stock was, as we did have two places then.. i know how people feel when their homes are flooded now, it must be even worse than your business, but somehow we got through that and my fella took precautions to stop it happening again (he built a damm) lol
I know ive been told not to worry but ive lived here 10 years and never had a flood so i cant help but wonder if my workplace is safe.. so hubby (with man flue) has thankfully offered to drive up and just check for me.......... theres not much point me sitting here loading up new lines if im under water.................lol

It was riding last night , i always look forward to mondays, we were in the school last night and Kevin for some funny reason put me on a tiny pony............... i felt mean just sitting on it.. his name was whisper and he was certainly a character, i failed dismally and couldnt get my canter right again, i honestly prefer to ride with no stirups.. i feel more comfortable and everytime i try to kick into canter do my feet fly out.................lol
So Kevins promised to take me out on friday for a ride while im up there working so hopefully i can try and work out what the hell im doing so wrong.......................lol
Its no good getting on a horse and the horse does it for me, i dont want that, i want to ride the bigger horses so have to get this right........ hes promised that i can start jumping as soon as i crack this hurdle.. trouble is i think i was the worst ive been last night, and riding a little white pony didnt help at all............... bless

Sleepless

Its Monday.....Im looking forward to this week...

The weekend was a good one, ive finally found my voice again, lol my fella prefers it when i didnt have one and says im making up for lost time..hehe

Yesterday was a good day, i cleaned the house did some stuff with the kids and just chilled out, We went up to our friends last night to collect some stock but managed to get to bed early.... What we didnt do was sleep............lol

We had just got into bed and the car alarm started going off, its never done that before so we both grabbed the dressing gowns and went outside, there was nothing there !
So back up to bed again for 10 more mins then off it goes again..lol my fella decided hed sleep downstairs then so i went back to bed..
I must have drifted off to sleep but half an hour later i was woken by scratching movements beside my bed..... i flew out of bed put the lights on but could still hear it..

So off i go downstairs to have to wake my fella up and ask him to come and investigate !! hehe
He wasnt best pleased, the poor sod had only just gone to sleep, but he did come..

We both laid there on the bes listening, there was definitely something down there, it was in my shoe boxes (I do have rather a lot of boots and shoes)oops we went through all the boxes tipping out shoes til we got to the one that the noise was coming from.. he gently took the box outside and tipped out the boots.. lol
He couldnt see anything come out, but then again he was half asleep... But it sounded like a mouse to me....lol
It must have been the right box as the noise thankfully stopped, ive been through the rest of the boots this morning and they are clear, but on the bottom of the box outside (he threw it across my garden, my boots included !) there were little scratch marks on the bottom..........hehe

Quiet One ! lol

Its been a good weekend, I'm still without my voice though... (was that a hooray i heard then !) lol ..... its a rather strange feeling theres just nothing there.....lol

I'm agreeing with everything my fella says, and just nodding at the right bits, so i think secretly hes enjoying the peace and quiet...lol

It has seemed to worked its way to my ears and neck this morning so hes convinced Ive got laryngitis... hehe imagine that.. peace and quiet not having to answer everyones calls here !! hehe

Today is clean the house up day, i have my headset on as usual, but sadly cant sing.......

Last night we had another good night with the kids, so pampered them silly and just had a good family night... they are a good bunch really.. there are just a lot of them...lol

I was going to work today but im not allowed to, my fellas said no i have been told i have to rest up a bit today.. me putting my feet up are you kidding ! ill be bored in ten minutes unless Brad Pitts on the tv of course.......

Its a beautiful day (so far) so I'm going to go out and tackle the garden... the winds blew alot of the apples off the tree so I'm going to make good use of them and bake a pie....... lol

Im starting the day off in good steed and cooking everyone a breakfast here, it makes me giggle as soon as they smell that bacon they will be coming down the stairs in lines.......lol

I love Sundays like this, there is no rush to do anything today, just as and when...............

Tomorrow it will be back to normal and looking like a mad house as usual....... so I'm making the most of today and hoping that sun stays out for us......

Right its time to go drink my tea with the birds outside, i have a garden that Dr Doolittle would envy here now, amazing really, its not just men that think with their stomachs..... those birds do too.......................lol

What a night we had.......It was simply brilliant....

My house is still asleep, in preparation for the weekend ahead i think, lol

They have half an hour and the lot are being rudely awakened..lol

I want to get out there today...............

Last night we went to the Keir Hardie, it was Cuban night so you know its going to be a real good one, but it wasn't just the dancing last night, it was the people we were with...

We really are graced having so many good ones around us... you lot really are wonderful !

Sharon bless brought my top for me, id left it at Stalham Thursday night! (yes i do have a habit of leaving my clothes all over the place sometimes) hehe I was hot... it was that rueda that done it.. god what fun that was to do ..I bet you're still giggling Adrian...lol

We met up with Cheryl, Naomi Sharon, Richard, Jane, Adrian, Marco and so many lovely people, the night couldn't help but be a really good one, these guys all know how to party cuban style and it really made my night..

We also managed to add another friendly face in our car for our Thursday nights at Stalham, (yes Richard after watching you and Sharon dancing Naomis coming too ! ) .. hehe .. so we will happily fill the car up and bring as many as we can get there, as i know they will have a great night...lol

I want a sticker for the back of my car saying " follow us if you want to be cubanized".... hehe I wonder how may guys would follow a car ful of women all dressed up and ready to go....lol

I didn't have the best start, one guy asked me to dance so of course i said yes, but when i got onto the dance floor it was like a skating rink, i couldn't understand what was wrong with my shoes, but its a bit unnerving having someone spinning you around, knowing you are prone to sliding across the floor at any moment...lol So i decided id sit and watch instead.

Sharon told me to go and put some water on the bottoms of them and presto...it worked, i had to laugh, people must have wondered what i was doing outside, I had my shoes in my hands and were rubbing the bottoms along the concrete to try and brush them up a bit.. i didn't realise but with these dance shoes you are supposed to brush the bottoms... im glad i learnt that early enough that it didn't spoil the night, i would have been ok just watching, but when Sharon and Richard got us up doing rueda, i wouldn't have wanted to miss that for the world... it was brilliant..

Theres so many fantastic dancers there, yet i didn't feel silly having a go, they are such a good bunch of people and looked on smiling..

When i first went to this place, i used to sit there with Cheryl in owe, now were in the thick of a bunch a group that are totally welcoming and are great to be with.........

My fella got up enough confidence to ask our cross body teacher to dance .. everyone was looking, we all wanted to see if he'd do cross body or Cuban.... he did Cuban ! hehe well it was a Cuban night anyway, and he loves timber music ...lol thankfully so does she...

He was dancing so well last night, i have to get a video of him and Cheryl, they are amazing to watch, we've always been to the classes together so she knows the way he dances as well as i do.. But the next night im definitely taking my camera.. you guys were amazing..........

I just couldn't get it to work with my fella at the start of the night, so when he kept asking me to dance i sent him off with the other ladies.. but after a couple of vodkas and with the help of one brilliant track we had a real go........ I have to say, that's the best we've ever danced together, we were making moves up as we were going along and got lucky !! lol it was really lovely..he must have been pleased as he came home wearing that smile of his.....lol

The best part of the night so Ive been told was me.............lol

I LOST MY VOICE completely !! hehe i couldn't get anything out except a squeak....lol

My fella said that's why we danced so well together, cause i couldn't tell him off.............hehe

I had such a great night last night...

I went to sleep with a picture of you all in my head with your instruments.... its wonderful how you can throw in a group of people from all walks of life, yet between them they can make such beautiful music.. you don't need the venues! just throw a great group of friends together and listen............. Its a beat everyone can dance to. as its made together........

Week Ends and Starts

Its been a really good couple of days, Last night we were in Stalham for Sharon and Richards Cuban salsa class, it was a really god night, but the best part most people usually miss..lol

Right at the end last night there were 4 couples left and Richard got us doing rueda, lol i havent laughed that hard in a long time, it was hilarious, we were going so quick all i could see was Adrian running around with his arms waving about! it finished a great night off as usual and added the icing on the cake for us all, Thursdays now we really look so forward to, its not just the dancing its such a sociable night, every ones always so friendly...

Ive booked me and my fella up for the body styling classes now, i went in may to Sharon's class and know how good these are, it was what first got me into Cuban style, week after week she planned different things and every week was brilliant, i used to really look forward to them, so i for one am glad we are going to get that chance again, the guys will learn from Richard and if its half as good as Mays classes were then we are all in for one fun packed afternoon.. with many giggles......

It was an early start today, i was going to take the day off from the riding school but changed my mind last minute so prepared with a waterproof off i went...lol

What a day..........its been totally brilliant, i was worn out when i came home and apparently was falling asleep when my fella was talking to me so Ive grabbed an hour power knapp and woke up like Ive had a full nights sleep......lol I feel great !

Ive been out getting soaked all day and really enjoyed working there today, the men all went out into the fields so i was left alone to groom the horses once i had got them in.. that part i totally love, watching their expressions when you get that brush on their itchy bits..lol

You can see they realy enjoy it. I took 3 hours getting through them one by one, I totally lost track of time , so i must have been enjoying myself... I didnt leave though until i had done the last horse... how could i leave one covered in itches.......lol

But i totally loved it today.. the rain just made it better...

Walking the horses through the fields this morning was unbelieveable, the rain was steaming down, but the sun was out shining through it...

Looking across those meadows with the horses running free and that view, gave me such a feeling inside, i had to just stop and stand there staring, moments like that are priceless...

Kevin brought me dinner, the men even made me tea ! now thats what i call a good day...lol

I came home as black as my fella has ever seen me..... hehe

I was covered in mud from head to toe... god! it feels good sometimes to get like that ..

My fella has always laughed and said i clean up well, so hopefully by tonight and with the help of a long hot soak, I will....

Tonight we are out with our friends dancing, we haven't been for a few weeks, so are all meeting up having a couple of drinks and dancing the night away, Cuban style !!.. so i may swap my vodka for mojetos tonight.... I am rearing to go now, rested up and so .... looking forward to this weekend.....

We were taking the kids camping tomorrow night, but the weathers threatening to delay it again, so Ive come up with what i think are good ideas to compensate and intend on having a great time regardless..

Ive found a place that has a beautiful wood where we can camp, he hires kayaks out too ! theres a field full of horses and so much beautiful countryside to surround ourselves in, i am driving down there tomorrow to see if we can arrange something, i haven't seen such a pretty place since the roundhouse, its in north walsham but unseen, unless you know its there..which we thankfully do now.. its simply perfect to camp out, i have this vision of a blazing fire, me cooking on it and my kids faces smiling all playing Ray Meers, in the fires reflection, so I'm going to make it happen.....

My fellas just about completed all hs work now too thankfully, so after another long day tomorrow hes free.................lol

Now theres no excuses for him ... no time like the present I say.......

Work

Good morning everyone ! that suns out again.....lol

Apologies for not posting, Google wouldn't let me in for some strange reason, but it looks like they have sorted out the problem, its like losing my diary, so the last week Ive turned to music...

Ive had quite a week, the usual running around like a headless chicken, Ive had the kids here bored and already just over a week into he school holidays im swearing to myself at the destruction they can cause in 5 Min's flat........lol god was i that bad to my mum, I'm paying for my sins....hehe

My fellas been hard at it, so were doing the ships in the night job, i do occasionally see him when I'm on my way to bed and laugh at him asleep with his shoes on in the morning when i get up and find him cuddling the laptop ! boys toys eh..lol But i cant complain as hes trying to help, so ill make tea and try and be as quiet as i can........

This week we've been out dancing, he went to the classes Tuesday, but i took the night off.. i had things to do here and look liked a pot bellied pig so decided id skip the night, i ended up working most of the night but had my music on and thoroughly enjoyed myself.....

Monday was great, I went riding again with the lord..lol this week he was put on the horse i rode last week, his name is Jack and he doesn't like to move much...lol his face was a picture when they said who he was on, but he got him cantering easily... so i now know i how crap my kicks really are......lol I had Billy this week and my god i struggled... the lesson was outside and he looked like he was ready to go to sleep...... I was out of breathe after about 2 laps..lol Kevins promised to take us out hacking tonight, so I'm looking forward to that...

Wednesday we went to the hog in armour to the dance class.. mmm it didn't go as well this week, my fella struggled and couldn't understand what the instructor was saying, so he didn't look so happy, so instead of staying and doing the next class which i was planning on, we left early and went and got chips ! they were lovely though.....lol

Thursday was my favorite day of the week, we went to Stalham to the Staithe for Sharon and Richards cuban salsa class.... its the one we all look forward to now, you get to do the class and they have a dance afterwards, so its like a night out for everyone... We did more Rueda and some really good combinations, i loved the night, the people there and had to giggle when on the way home the car decided to have a puncture ! lol my fella was out soaked trying to change the tyre with us 3 girls all standing watching hopelessly.. Cheryl and Francesca went and knocked on a door to ask if we could borrow a torch and a guy who they described as an axe murderer answered in his dressing gown...... hehe they were running on without realising the window was open and the guy was probably cracking up at what hed been called, he did lend us a torch and didn't offer an axe of any kind so we were all thankful to get back in that car.........

Friday i worked at the stables all day again, what started off as volunteering for an odd day has now become a regular thing, it was hard going, i actually went home and fel asleep in a heap ! lol but its for a good cause , i love being up there in the fields and just have to work harder now on the days in between..

This weekend ive had a quiet one ! (that makes a change doesn't it lol) we had several invites but both had work to do, so as the money tree at the bottom of my garden isnt blooming as the kids would like i had to work......lol Its been good though as ive downloaded some new tracks onto the much loved headset and have spent the weekend singing away quietly to myself (although the rest of house said i sounded like a dying cat) oops.. Ive been practising belly dancing and the dreaded hip drop at every opportunity and have worked out if i do one particular wiggle my fella will actually step away from the computer.... my song of the week has definitely got to be Work by Kelly Rowland.. its energetic enough to stop me getting bored, and great to dance to..

Im looking forward to this week, i have still got a fair bit of work to get through, so if my fella sits up all night, ill be joining him... If that sun does come out for us, then ill turn nocturnal and burn the candle at both ends for a week............lol

Right its time for that W word again, ive got photos to print, a printer that doesnt work and have to pack up all the weekends sales, ive been a good girl and already done the emails to try and get ahead.. its monday ! and im hoping this week will be a really good one........

A taste of Cuba

We had such a brilliant night last night, it was Cuban Salsa at the Staithe Sutton night, with Sharon, Richard and our friends.... what a night we all had.. it was amazing

Last night we were going to be shown rueda (the wheel) its always looked fun to watch but honestly when you are part of it, it was such brilliant fun..you cant help but smile and enjoy yourself..

Richard was calling out the moves, we learnt enough just on our first night, to all get together and have one hell of a night.. It was so beautifully warm, the music was so good, we had our own taste of cuba and transformed stalham into a place where we all wanted to be..

I managed not to mess up my footwork for a change, the whole night just felt so right

I came home so happy last night it was untrue.....

The guy calls out the moves and in a circle everyone dances together picking up the ladies on the way round...

The passion these guys are sending out through dancing is infectious.. so if you havent tried cuban salsa, you have your very own cuban nights here on the Norfolk broads to come and try..

We have sunshine, that distinctive cuban beat flowing into the night air, a bar, the best group of people you could hope to meet and dance with.......and Sharon and Richard !!

Who said paradise isnt easy to find ..........

Field work

My god what a day.. its been a hard one today..

Ive been up the stables working and helping out, theres so much to do on a Friday as alot of the horses owners go up over the weekend, so everythings done to make life easier for them..

We got rained on several times, which made me giggle, every time we were inside it was sunny, step outside in those fields and it starts, mind you i was so hot after mucking out and grooming i was quite pleased to get wet, it felt great.. even though we had endless fields to do..

My hands are blistered today, my legs feel like they are about to drop off, but its been a good one, hard but spiritually rewarding..

I learnt to drive a tractor this afternoon which i found highly amusing, the girls have been taking photos on their phones so as soon as someone takes the mickey and sends them through i promise ill post...

We were going out dancing tonight, but im going to swap nights and go tomorrow instead. a hot bath and some home cooking sounded too good to miss and i know ill be full of energy by tomorrow, so its a good desicion..

Right its time to clear up this bomb site that used to be called a house..lol my fellas been sitting for me (on a computer anyway!) so while ive still got some energy left and i smell like a stable, ill muck in here.............lol

Bullies

Ive been having a little problem with my kids the last few months, two of them are getting badly bullied by a group of youngsters, one whos the ringleader isnt very nice at all..
Last week my youngest was pushed under a car, thankfully it was parked up, but its been really worrying me, so i decided id train them both up in kickboxing..lol
2 nights a week we have been using the handwraps and bag and ive been trying to pass on everything i learnt, i got pretty good, i boxed against blokes as well as women and although i was small i made sure i was quicker, so size wasnt an issue for me..
I took it up as my past put me in situtations that werent very nice, i was bullied not by groups but by an ex parter for years, so i know how these kids feel..
They have been doing really well, they both block well, which is always a good start in self defence, but i didnt want them using what i was teaching in a bad way, so both promised only to use it as self defence and if they were hit first.. two wrongs never make a right and i didnt want their new confidence to go to their head so they actually made the situaltion worse..
Yesterday they went to boys brigade as usual, but both came back with various marks accross the face and neck, but they were both looking so pleased with themselves.
Apparently the bully started again as soon as brandon walked in, he straight away punched him in the face and went to throw another.. Brandon said he couldnt stop the first hit as he was walking through the door but he did block the 2nd ! lol he then stuck his guard up to protect himself and sent a right hook flying round the bullies head... hehe (i know its not funny, but im glad he did it) ive watched my son shrink in confidence week after week, being the target of this horrible lads agression and it needed to stop...
The bully must have been surprised as he went off crying calling for his bigger mates.. he comes back with 3 more horrible ones just like him and then starts on my other son callum, now callum is the quiestest little lad you could ever meet..
He was shouting pay back time whilst he scratched my son straight accross his cheek laughing, the brigade leaders were informed by this time and were running accross the hall..
Instead of callum hiding up (which he would normally do) he somehow found the strength to rip open the bullys shirt punch him hard enough to put him down and calmly said,
" my mum taught me that all bullys only hit if you dont hit them back ! so now leave us alone ".....
Im not proud of them fighting, but i am proud of the fact they found enough confidence to stick up for themselves last night.. he wont bother them again im sure of that, and has a lovely black eye today to show for his bullying..
Ive been told im getting a visit tonight from the mother, ive dealt with her before and enjoy smiling nicely while she shouts obsenities at me... hehe
They blame the kids for todays unruley society, but as i found out it usually starts at home....
I was hoping for a quiet night in tonight too ......lol
